Get Arty at Cadillac Ranch
Not actually a ranch! This Route 66 stop-off is actually a must-see art installation in Amarillo, Texas.
Ten Cadillac cars are buried nose-down in the ground, covered with colourful graffiti. And you can even get involved in the ever-changing artwork yourself with a can of spray paint at this wonderful slice of road trip Americana.
The sculpture was created in 1974, by members of art collective Ant Farm, and today sees visitors add their own layers of paint and graffiti on top of the cars, making their own little mark as they pass by.
