Canada Christmas New York New Year

Truly Magical

Reviewed January 2015

This was my second Trek and it was just amazing. Spending my first Christmas away from home with Trek America in Montreal could not have been better, singing carols, ice-skating a lake on a lake and secret Santa with 12 wonderful people and a grand tour leader Josh. New Years Eve in New York was super.

What a way to finish 2014 and start 2015!

Reviewed January 2015

This being a 'special' departure for Christmas and New Years I had high expectations and my god Trek delivered! 'Special' is an understatement, I absolutely loved everything we did and everywhere we went on this Trek - it was fun, magical, entertaining and by far my best Christmas & New Years ever. It didn't cross my mind that I was literally on the other side of the world from my family, my new Trek buddies provided all the love I needed! Ice skating in Montreal on Christmas Day was a highlight, as was skiing in Stowe, walking the grounds of Harvard in Boston and NYE in New York for sure.
Our tour leader Josh was the most patient and calm person, even in the face of 13 hyperactive Aussies & Brits wearing daggy Christmas jumpers and singing a hell of a lot of Taylor Swift. What a Trek, I'll be back for sure!

Amazing, Fantastic, Exciting, Jam-Packed, Adventure

Reviewed January 2015

I have just got back from the 11 day Christmas and New Year Special..
I really don't know where to start, the tour itself was jam-packed with adventure and excitement, from walking behind the falls at Niagara, open mic comedy night in Toronto, Christmas Day in Montreal spent climbing a dormant volcano and ice-skating on a lake, trying snowboarding and snow shoeing in Stowe and exploring the freedom trail in Boston, not forgetting the incredible night we had for New Years Eve in New York City; I would seriously recommend this trip to anyone who asked!
Our Team, (Team Strawberry Booffalo) as I am sure Josh (our tour leader) would agree was one of a kind! Being slightly concerned about being alone on the trip for not only Christmas and New Year but my 21st Birthday as well, any doubts I had were erased as soon as I arrived in the pre tour hotel the night before, after meeting one of the girls on my trek from Australia. We were supposed to be all jet-lagged and fall asleep straight away, this obviously didn't happen with all the excitement!
As this was such a popular tour, it ran in 2 vans which was great as it meant another 12 people to get to know when we weren't on the van! All 26 of us (including our 2 tour leaders) pilled into a rather swanky restaurant for Christmas Dinner together on Christmas Eve which gave us the chance to mix.
Josh went out of his way quite often to ensure we knew exactly what was going on in each place that we visited and what was worth seeing - especially in Boston, as we were there over the Christmas break there were no students to show us around Harvard, so Josh gave us his own walking tour of the campus!
The trip was filled with fun facts, laughs and LOTS of singing and I already cant wait to book my next one!

Sensational Seasonal Winter Wonderland

Reviewed December 2014

Met up with the group and headed off into the snow and freezing temperatures to experience the USA and Canada. Hostels are great fun, snow on thanksgiving and thanksgiving dinner was certainly an American tradition. Tour leader was enthusiastic and tour mates were fab. We got taken to all the local food places to try local foods, sight see and of course shop. I'm not a Christmas person, but seeing the cities all decorated for Christmas has certainly given me the Christmas bug. Highly recommend travelling at this time of year on this tour.

The Best Way To Spend Christmas and New Year

Reviewed February 2014

Seeing as there was a high demand for our trip (special departure for Christmas and New Year) - we had two groups that stuck together through out, which allowed me to meet some fantastic friends form all across the world. We also had the added bonus of two trek guides which had knowledge and experience which was second to none (Thanks Clayton and Ashley! Much appreciated!) This trip was full of laughs and sights I shall never forget... from the fancy dress parties, to the wonders of Niagara Falls, to the White Christmas in Montreal - I couldn't of asked for a better trip. Here are some of my Highlights from the trip - NHL Game & Pro Bull Riding @ Madison Square Garden Christmas Day in Montreal The Buffalo Wings in Buffalo! NFL Game in Boston The winter views of Canada were amazing Party House in Stowe Spending New Year in NYC - Once in a life time experience Tour of Fenway Park (Boston Red Socks) This is certainly a Christmas and New Year I wont forget! Thanks Trek America!

Awesome, awesome, awesome you have to do it

What can I say about this trek apart from it being awesome, I did the extended 11 day version that went over Christmas and New Years and I had an amazing time, we had two vans full of lovely people and two great leaders Ashley and Clayton. Christmas Day was spent in snowy Montreal where we had a BBQ and party which wouldn't be complete without a secret Santa and tacky Xmas jumper competition. We tried snowboarding in Stowe which was a new and very fun experience, saw Niagara falls and loads of sights. I really recommend this trip to anyone especially over the festive period 10 out of 10 :) one of the highlights was New Year's Eve in New York City :D wow
