Essential Information
- We highly recommend you book this trip at least 60 days prior to departure. Reservations received within 30 days will be on request and subject to availability of en-route accommodation.
- Prices quoted are land only. Call us on 0333 999 7951 for a flight quote (UK only).
- On Plus tours, your vehicle size will be the most appropriate for the size of your group. This ranges from a maximum of 13 to a maximum of 50 passengers. For groups larger than 13, you will have a tour leader and a driver.
- This tour requires a minimum number of five to operate. On rare occasions we may run with lower numbers.
Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best overnight stops, highlights and included experiences, with plenty of optional activities to choose from.
You will meet your tour leader and group at 18:00 hrs in the hotel lobby on day one. Full details will be sent with your final documentation. If you would like to book additional nights before your tour please request at the time of booking.
Music and meat lovers rejoice, as you head from New Orleans to Memphis baby! Memphis is the birthplace of rock 'n' roll, so head down Beale Street where music is literally playing around every corner. A visit to Graceland is essential, so head to the place that Elvis called home and the second most visited home in the USA after the White House. To see a different side of Memphis, visit the National Civil Rights Museum located in the former Lorraine Motel, where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated. Make sure you get a taste of authentic Memphis BBQ!

After embracing the blues and rock’n’roll in Memphis, the perfect next stop is Nashville, the undisputed home of country music. Experience musical history with a visit to the world-famous Grand Ole Opry and The Country Music Hall of Fame. If you're looking for a rocking party make sure you join us for a night in the Wildhorse Saloon – the perfect spot to spend an evening becoming line dancing legends. Drop into a buzzing Broadway bar for a drink and a dance – yee ha!

Build up an appetite as Chicago's also the home of delicious deep-dish pizza – make sure you grab yourself a slice!

Here, grit meets sophistication and here you'll find some top restaurants and great nightlife. Pay a visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where you can learn about the evolution of a musical phenomenon - featuring Michael Jackson's infamous glove!

On your final day, make your way to the city so good they named it twice – New York, New York! Your tour may be coming to an end, but why not book up some extra nights to explore the city! Towering skyscrapers, the bright lights of Times Square, super cool Brooklyn and Lady Liberty all beckon…
This tour ends at approximately 17:00. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00.

Our tours usually depart at 07:30am and finish around 5:00pm at designated hotels in our gateway cities, so it's a great idea to book a room for the night before and after your tour. AIRPORT TRANSFER INFORMATION (HOTEL TO AIRPORTS)
The best way to make your way from the hotel to either JFK or LaGuardia airport, is to take the airport shuttle which will cost approximately US$20 plus US$1-2 tip. This is a pooled service and will involve multiple hotel pickups. Please arrange this with the hotel reception. Reliable companies we recommend are Super Shuttle or Go Airlink.
AIRPORT TRANSFER INFORMATION (AIRPORTS TO HOTEL)
Transfer from Newark Airport:
Approximately 18 miles. A taxi will cost approximately US$100.00 including tolls and tips. The alternative is to catch the train or Super Shuttle to NY Penn Station (shuttle approximately US$25.00, the train around US$12.50). From here it is a four minute walk to 34th St Penn Station where you catch a further train to Rector St. From there it’s a 1 minute walk to the hotel. If you have the Uber app, this is also an option.
Transfer from JFK Airport:
Approximately 13 miles. A taxi from the airport can cost approximately US$80.00 and tip. Alternatively, take the monorail to Jamaica Station. Change here to take the train towards Atlantic Terminal. Here, you need to change stations, to catch another train to Wall Street that takes 9 mins by subway and is a 7 minute walk. away from the hotel. The whole journey will cost approximately US$10 by this local transport option. If you have the Uber app, this is also an option.
Transfer from LaGuardia Airport
LA Guardia – 11 miles. A taxi will cost approximately US$80.00 including tolls and tips. For public transportation, from the Baggage Claim Area of LaGuardia Airport, catch a Super Shuttle to New York Penn Station which is located in Midtown at 31st and 7th Streets (costs approximately US$20 including tip). Then take a four minute walk to take a train from 34th St Penn Station to Rector St, where it is a 1 minute walk to the hotel. If you have the Uber app, this is also an option.
There are no forced supplements for single travellers. Accommodation for our Plus tours is based on twin-share, so if you're travelling on your own, you'll share with a fellow passenger of the same sex. However, if you prefer your own space, request our Solo Sleeper option for an extra charge. This will guarantee you your own room for every night of the tour. Simply select the "Solo Sleepers" checkbox on the booking form or request over the phone.
