Itinerary

Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops, highlights, and included experiences, and lots of optional activities to choose from. With stops at some of your tour leader's favourite places and occasional changes to the itinerary no two Trek trips are the same, so get ready for one awesome adventure.

You will meet your tour leader and group at 1800 hrs in the hotel lobby on day 1. Full details will be sent with your final documentation. If you would like to book additional nights before your tour please request at the time of booking.

Arrive in the vibrant metropolis of Lima, for your orientation walk around Miraflores.

Head deep into the Amazon jungle for a two-night stay and trek through the lush rainforest in search of red macaws and monkeys. Come evening, you’ll venture out with flashlights in search of caimans on the Tambopata River.

Say farewell to the jungle and discover Cusco, where you’ll visit the facade of Qoricancha temple, the local San Pedro market, Regocijo Square and San Blas Square.

Tour the Sacred Valley. Delve into the local culture and search the markets for warm ponchos, before visiting Ollantaytambo’s awesome Inca ruins.

Trekking uphill towards the campsite, where you’ll see the ruins of Llactapata, which was burnt to the ground by the last Inca emperor.

Today we reach the highest point of the trail, known as 'Dead Woman's Pass', Warmiwanusca. The group will then descend to the campsite in the Pacaymayo Valley.

Climb to Runkuracay pass before continuing to the ruins of Phuyupatamarca, 'Town Above the Clouds'. The final night's campsite is close to the Winay Wayna archaeological site.

Say farewell to the porters and take on the walk to Intipunku (the Sun Gate) to get unforgettable views over the ‘Lost City of the Incas’.

Tour the awe-inspiring Lake Titicaca, on a slow motorboat stopping off to visit the Uros floating islands, to learn more about the Uros people and their rival tribes. In the evening, enjoy a homestay in the local community on Llachon.
