Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops, highlights, and included experiences, and lots of optional activities to choose from. With stops at some of your tour leader's favourite places and occasional changes to the itinerary no two Trek trips are the same, so get ready for one awesome adventure.
You will meet your tour leader and group at 1800 hrs in the hotel lobby on day 1. Full details will be sent with your final documentation. If you would like to book additional nights before your tour please request at the time of booking.
Bienvenidos a Colombia! Setting off around 1pm, we explore the historic downtown of La Candelaria. When the sun goes down, enjoy getting to know your fellow trekkers over pork cracklings and a couple of cold ones.

Head to the bustling Paloquemao Market. Afterwards, you’ll take short flight to the village of Salento. When it comes to sport head to their popular halls to play Tejo, one Salento’s most popular pastimes – think bocce with gunpowder and beer!

Travel by jeep out to the Cocora Valley to exploring on foot. For the adventurous, this means hiking up to Acaime Reserve to hear the hummingbird feed. Later, we head off for a two-night stay in an old-school coffee estancia.

Today, enjoy a guided tour of the coffee plantation centre, to learn more about Columbia’s addictive little bean. Afterwards, kick back with a steaming cup of freshly brewed joe.

Head to Medellin, the “City of Eternal Spring” and home of Pablo Escobar’s notorious drug cartel, for an eye-opening orientation walk.

Visit the Plaza Minorista Market and try some exotic local fruits like feijoa, maracuya and lulo. For awe inspiring views, grab a cable car ride up to Santa Elena. In the evening, avoid Medellin’s gringo-packed bars in search of the city’s pumping salsa hotspots.

Visit the Museo de Antioquia to see some of Botero's famous works or go further afield to Santa Fe de Antioquia. Visit the 16th-century township’s Metropolitan Cathedral and House of Two Palms for the gram.

Travel north to Palomino, a small town on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, where you will get a guided tour of the town and feast on lionfish come dinnertime.

Today and tomorrow are free to explore. We’d recommend heading to Tayrona National Park and chilling on the beach. It's a tough life.
