Check out Mother Nature's most epic creation, Niagara Falls. Made up of three waterfalls, this mighty natural wonder will blow you away with its sheer power. The noise it makes is pretty immense too! Take the included ‘Maid of the Mist’ boat trip for a truly awesome up-close perspective of the falls. Prepare to get very wet!

Take some time to explore the wares of Kensington Market, a huge area where you can find some interesting souvenirs for the folks back home or simply pick up some tasty treats for the road. For a different perspective on this vibrant and multicultural city head up to the top of the 457-metre high CN Tower for some great (if a little dizzying) views. Rent a bike to explore the city or catch a ferry to the car-free Toronto Islands and soak up the tranquillity. At night, head to the Distillery District, a five-hectare area devoted to Toronto's finest eateries and drinking establishments, or grab your fellow trekkers and catch a baseball game.

A true cultural mix is next on the agenda with a visit to Montreal - the second largest city in Canada. Enjoy the city's French culture, narrow lanes and quirky cafes. For adventure seekers, you can rip it up across the Lachine Rapids by high-powered jet boat. For the foodies amongst you, Montreal has some great cuisine to sink your teeth into. Why not try a local favourite, poutine? Delicious cheesy curds on thin French fries all topped with a thick gravy, yum! Or how about a ‘Reuben’ smoked meat sandwich, which is totally delicious and melts in your mouth? For a culinary adventure, Montreal's famous restaurant in the dark, O'Noir, will totally tickle your taste buds.

It's time to enjoy some French culture in Quebec City, as you explore the streets of North America's only surviving walled city. Practice your French and embrace the European flair or get snap-happy around the historic Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fuelled by warm pastries and scrumptious local cheeses, pay a visit to the Basilique Cathedrale - the Notre Dame de Quebec. With its gold interior and ornate carving, it's a majestic wonder definitely worthy of your time. The compact size of this city makes one night here easily doable, so get out and really discover this picturesque city.

As you say au revoir to Canada, you head back onto US soil and make your way to the only national park in New England. Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island is beautiful all year round, but the colours really come alive in autumn so if you're travelling later in the season you could be in for a treat. It's time to get out there amongst nature, so hit the many trails for some hiking, biking, or choose to sea kayak amongst hidden coves. Enjoy the picturesque town of Bar Harbor and if you're a fan of beer, check out the local microbreweries.

What our trekkers say

4.2 out of 5

A good intro to USA + Canada

Reviewed July 2019

As someone who only recently started travelling and is very much a city boy, but with deep love for nature, I think this trip has the right amount of both and I've never felt uncomfortable throughout the whole trip.

David Clarke

Enjoyable cities and a mix of different cultures

Reviewed June 2019

From a person who prefers National Parks to cities, I surprisingly enjoyed this trip more than I expected.

Each of the few cities we went to had it's own unique style and made them interesting to explore.

With the drives being short it gave us more time to explore each location. In every place, there was a lot to see and do.

Iz Lowe

Wilderness, cities, wildlife and adventure - all of my favourite things!

Reviewed May 2019

This was such a fab trip, it was so lovely meeting all the like minded people that came along and the tour guide was brilliant! There was a perfect balance between bustling city life and ‘middle-of-nowhere’ wilderness so there was definitely something for everyone. Perfect length, perfect route, would love to do it all again!

We offer a whole range of travel extras with everything from additional hotel nights, travel insurance, city sightseeing and more so you can organise everything you'll need for your trip in one easy place.

It is customary to tip the driver who helps you with your bag ($1-$2 per bag).

From both JFK and La Guardia airports you must first transfer to New York Penn Station located at 31st and 7th Streets in Midtown Manhattan and then take another transfer to Newark International Airport.

1). To transfer from the airport to New York Penn Station:
By Shuttle: You can pre-book your transfer on the Super Shuttle website by searching for "Penn Station" landmark when prompted. A shared transfer service costs US$19 plus tip.

By Bus: The most convenient service is the "New York Airport Express Service Bus". This bus departs from both airports every 20-30 minutes (7am- midnight) and stops are located at the 'Express Bus Stop' at each airport terminal. Cost is US$15. For reservations or for more info call (718) 875-8200 or visit their website at Use taxis for transport during the hours of midnight-7am.

2). To transfer from NY Penn Station to Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station:
Trains depart New York Penn Station every 10-15 minutes to Newark Airport. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket window for approx. $12.50 and wait until the train board displays your track. ALL trains that go to Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station are displayed as "EWR." The train ride to the airport station is about 25 minutes and you will be asked to show you ticket while on the train.

3.) To transfer from Newark Liberty International Train Station to the Hilton Newark Airport:
After exiting the train follow the signs for the "AIRTRAIN". Take the AIRTRAIN to station P4 and wait for the Hilton Newark Airport Complimentary Shuttle. This will bring you directly to the Hotel and a shuttle arrives/departs every 15-20 minutes. It is customary to tip the driver who helps you with your bag ($1-$2 per bag).
