Vegas is pretty freakin' awesome to visit at any time of the year - but for New Year's Eve, the party capital of the States goes all out!
Visitors stroll the streets in fancy dress, revelling in the atmosphere and having a whole lot of fun. If you're not keen on yet another year paying triple the price to get into your local, here are some of the amazing things you could be doing in Sin City instead!
Stroll the strip
If there's one thing that epitomises Vegas, it's the Vegas strip. With bright lights, amazing shows and the famous Caesar's Palace jumping fountains, make everyone super jealous with your midnight Snapchats from the greatest New Year's party in the world!
Catch a show
'Vegas! The Show' is an exuberant rush through the very best of Sin City, and Cirque Du Soleil's 'O' offers acrobatics and amazing spectacle in a surreal world. Alternatively, head to one of the hotels on the strip to catch one of the numerous free shows, or check out the amazing lights of Freemont Street.
Party open-air style on Fremont Street
Away from the main strip, there's still awesome open-air party vibes to be found on Fremont Street! With live music and shows across multiple stages all through the night, you're guaranteed an amazing time. And if you're feeling brave, why not fly into the new year on the Slotzilla zip line, soaring above the crowds through incredible light shows?
Watch the fireworks
Vegas definitely has a 'go big or go home' attitude, and their fireworks displays are no exception. When the clock hits midnight, look up to the skies to see the explosions of incredible colour. For an incredible view, hop onto High Roller ferris wheel, 550 feet above the Las Vegas strip.
Party hard at over 1000ft
Got major cash to splash? See the celebrations from 100 stories above the city and rub shoulders with Vegas VIPs from the top of the Stratosphere. With ticket prices starting at $199, it's quite an extravagant affair - but you're only in Vegas for New Year's once, right?!
