UTAH - AN ADVENTURER'S PARADISE!
The USA's Desert Southwest is stuffed to the brim with epic landscape after epic landscape, and nowhere will you find more than in Utah.
In partnership with the Official Utah Office of Tourism we're offering up to 15% off selected trips to this amazing destination until 22 March. Seeing is believing, so come and experience it for yourself this summer!
We should probably ask; why NOT Utah? There's so much to do here that we do feel a little bad that we can only spend part of our trips in this amazing state. It's a state that keeps on giving, with opportunities for fun and exploration at every turn!
Hike the narrows of Zion National Park, or for those with a head for heights scale the summit of Angels Landing for impeccable 360 degree views across this awesome park. If you prefer your adventures on two wheels, Utah is a Mecca for bike enthusiasts, with some of the best slick-rock mountain biking in the country to be found in Moab, gateway to Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. For all the fun but little physical effort, you can't get better than a guided four-wheel-drive tour of Monument Valley, home to the Navajo people and some of the most famous scenery in the USA. Think John Wayne riding off into the sunset and images of this mystical landscape will come flooding to you!
With some of the best red rock National Parks in America, you'd be forgiven if you want to bring 3 or 4 spare batteries for your camera - you're going to need them! Take the outstanding Bryce Canyon National Park as an example. Thousands of red and orange spires, fins and mazes (collectively known as 'Hoodoos') stand proud over this massive expanse like soldiers standing to attention. Arches National Park is another fabulous example of mother nature at her best, with more than 2,000 red sandstone arches including the most famous of them all, Delicate Arch. Zion National Park is another photographer's dream, but you'll need to make sure your panorama mode on your camera is in full working order - the views from Angels Landing are 360 degrees of pure joy.
Native American culture
It's not just crazy fun and making your friends jealous by posting your incredible pics on facebook; Utah gives the opportunity to discover some authentic Native American culture too. The Navajo (pronounced Na-va-ho) people still live in their sacred land of Monument Valley and are proud to share the secrets and stories of their homelands with all who visit. A horseback ride through this great valley is a fantastic way of getting back to nature and feeling truly inspired. You can learn about the Navajo way of life and perhaps even stay within a traditional Hogan (mud hut) - what an experience!
