Leave the New York area and travel to Philadelphia where you can climb the famous 'Rocky' steps for your own movie moment, and see the iconic symbol of American independence, the Liberty Bell. Head to Reading Terminal Market on an empty stomach and be prepared to be overwhelmed with delicious smells and flavours. Before you leave make sure you tuck into a famous Philly cheesesteak lunch. Then it's onto Washington DC for an introduction to the political, social and cultural history of the USA. Take time to explore America's capital city by people watching in one of the many green parks, discovering the famous monuments or exploring the Smithsonian National Museums. By night, hit the bars and clubs of Georgetown.

Memphis is the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll, and you won't want to miss out on an included visit to Sun Studio, where the likes of Johnny Cash and BB King recorded some of their most famous records, and for blues music around every corner, head to Beale Street. You won't want to go home without a trip to Graceland, the former home of 'The King of rock ‘n’ roll', Elvis Presley. If you're wanting a little more than just some bluesy beats from your trip to Memphis, there’s much more to the city’s history. Pay a visit to the National Civil Rights Museum located in the former Lorraine Hotel and see the place where Martin Luther King was assassinated.

You're well and truly in America's Deep South, so embrace those laid-back vibes because life moves at a much slower pace here - New Orleans is known as the 'Big Easy' after all. Opt for a swamp tour into the alligator habitat of southern Louisiana and see all sorts of wildlife in the mysterious wetlands of Cajun country. San Angelo offers the chance to visit the impressive Fort Concho, just one of the many historic landmarks you'll see on this trip. You can also take a step back in time and visit Miss Hattie's Bordello Museum, a former brothel. Then depart the largest state and head into New Mexico and Carlsbad Caverns National Park, to explore one of the largest and oldest cave systems in the world. Gnarled limestone stalactites hang from the ceiling like icicles and stalagmites, creating a unique experience for all who walk through this incredible place.

With 325 days of sunshine per year plus some of the best Tex-Mex food in the USA, Santa Fe won't disappoint. For all the art lovers out there, visit Canyon Road which is home to art galleries, cultural treasures such as hand-woven Navajo rugs, historic adobe buildings and a vibrant restaurant scene. Head on over to Bumble Bee’s for some grade-A Tex-Mex and sample some of the live music which Santa Fe is known for.

You’re on the road again, and you’re off to one of North America's most iconic landscapes. Hollywood has helped put this place on travel bucket lists the world over. You may recognise Monument Valley from countless Western movies, or from the movie ‘Forrest Gump’! Immerse yourself in the native culture on an optional guided jeep tour of the Navajo Reservation and backroads, hear your Navajo hosts speak in their native tongue and be blown away by their warm hospitality. Marvel at the sight of towering buttes and mesas which dominate the awe-inspiring landscape during the day, and the vast blanket of stars overhead when the sun goes down.

Today will define the word ‘epic’ as you stop off at the mighty Grand Canyon National Park. Nothing you've ever seen before will prepare you for this spectacular sight, it will simply blow your socks off. Hike from the forest above to the desert below, or take an optional helicopter flight for the ultimate bird's-eye view and marvel at the brilliant colours from overhead. With lookout points aptly named ‘Ooh Aah Point’ you know you're in for a real treat. To really see the Grand Canyon in all its glory, wait for sunset or sunrise when the colours really do amaze!

En route to Las Vegas you'll drive along a section of Historic Route 66, stopping at the town of Seligman, joyfully frozen in time and full of quirky Americana. Grab a root beer and have a look around! Next it’s on to Las Vegas, and there’s nowhere else on earth quite like it! Feel like a celeb on an included super-stretch limo tour and then treat yourself to a show, indulge in an all-you-can-eat buffet, or just watch the amazing crowds and neon signs as the glitzy hotels try to outdo each other with spectacular attractions. If that's not enough, you can always take an optional helicopter flight down The Strip. If you're still left wanting more, head on over to a chapel and get hitched by the one and only Elvis. Don't worry, it's not legally binding, but the folks back home don't know that, so just imagine their surprise!

Head to San Diego where it's all about bronzed bodies, big shades and baggy shorts. Visit the famous San Diego Zoo with over 3,000 animals or simply laze in grassy Balboa Park. It's time to top up your tan with a trip to Mission Beach, one of the nicest beaches on the West Coast. Try a spot of roller blading, or perhaps take to the surf. Later, cruise the Gaslamp Quarter and the heart of San Diego's nightlife, and watch the Californian sun set on the penultimate day of your American adventure.

The final leg of your journey takes you up the coast to the 'City of Angels', but it's not over just yet! With the California sunshine on your face, visit Hollywood Boulevard for a stroll along the Walk of Fame and grab yourself a photo of that massive Hollywood sign that you've only ever seen on the big screen. You now have 21 days of action-packed memories to take away with you. And that's a wrap!

AIRPORT TRANSFER INFORMATION - NEWARK AIRPORT

Transportation from Newark International Airport is the cheapest and most convenient. From Baggage Claim at the airport, take the AIRTRAIN to station P4 and wait for the Hilton Newark Airport Complimentary Shuttle. This will bring you directly to the Hotel and a shuttle arrives/departs every 15-20 minutes. The journey will take approximately 10mins, depending on traffic. It is customary to tip the driver who helps you with your bag ($1-$2 per bag).

 

AIRPORT TRANSFER INFORMATION - JFK & LA GUARDIA AIRPORTS

From both JFK and La Guardia airports you must first transfer to New York Penn Station located at 31st and 7th Streets in Midtown Manhattan and then take another transfer to Newark International Airport. 

1). To transfer from the airport to New York Penn Station: 
By Shuttle: You can pre-book your transfer on the Super Shuttle website by searching for "Penn Station" landmark when prompted. A shared transfer service costs US$19 plus tip. 

By Bus: The most convenient service is the "New York Airport Express Service Bus". This bus departs from both airports every 20-30 minutes (7am- midnight) and stops are located at the 'Express Bus Stop' at each airport terminal. Cost is US$15. For reservations or for more info call (718) 875-8200 or visit their website at www.nyairportservice.com/. Use taxis for transport during the hours of midnight-7am. 

2). To transfer from NY Penn Station to Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station: 
Trains depart New York Penn Station every 10-15 minutes to Newark Airport. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket window for approx. $12.50 and wait until the train board displays your track. ALL trains that go to Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station are displayed as "EWR." The train ride to the airport station is about 25 minutes and you will be asked to show you ticket while on the train. 

3.) To transfer from Newark Liberty International Train Station to the Hilton Newark Airport: 
After exiting the train follow the signs for the "AIRTRAIN". Take the AIRTRAIN to station P4 and wait for the Hilton Newark Airport Complimentary Shuttle. This will bring you directly to the Hotel and a shuttle arrives/departs every 15-20 minutes. It is customary to tip the driver who helps you with your bag ($1-$2 per bag).

AIRPORT TRANSFER INFORMATION

The hotel operates a free transfer from LAX airport and the shuttle can be picked up at the designated hotel courtesy shuttle area and operates on a continuous loop every 20 minutes.
