Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best overnight stops, highlights and included experiences, with plenty of optional activities to choose from. No two Trek trips are the same, with stops at some of your tour leader's favourite places and occasional changes to the itinerary, so get ready for one awesome adventure!
Leaving the bright lights of Las Vegas behind, your next destination is Zion National Park. Try a short walk to 'Emerald Pools' or if you don't mind getting wet why not try walking 'The Narrows'. In the late afternoon you arrive to Bryce Canyon National Park where you overnight only, or there may be time to watch the colours really come alive at sunset depending on the time of year and how long is spent in Zion National Park.
Explore the hoodoos and trails of Bryce Canyon National Park from the rim trails where the best views can be found. You're probably thinking "What's a hoodoo when it's at home?" Actually, hoodoos are weird and wonderful rock spires arranged in rows. Native Americans believe these crazy shapes to be `Legend People' who were turned to stone for their sins, but we'll let you decide. You'll encounter a kaleidoscope of colours and a fantasy land of rock spires that'll leave you searching for your own way to describe this 'indescribable' place.
Then it's back on the road again and off to one of North America's most iconic landscapes. Monument Valley was used as the set for countless Western movies, including the recent remake of The Lone Ranger. Jump on your 4x4 backroads tour for an experience with a Navajo guide, to really get under the skin of this fantastic place.
Passing through the Painted Desert you'll make your way to the Cameron Trading Post sat on top of the Little Colorado River Gorge. Today will define the word 'epic' as you stop off at the mighty Grand Canyon National Park. Nothing you've ever seen before will prepare you for this spectacular sight, it'll simply blow your socks off! Today there is time to explore the rim trails or walk down into the canyon along the Bright Angel Trail for a view of what only 5% of visitors to the Grand Canyon ever have the chance to see. To really see the Grand Canyon in all its glory wait for sunset where the scenery will amaze!
Please note: If you plan on enjoying a flight over the Grand Canyon we are at the mercy of when we can fly, so your flight may be this afternoon as opposed to tomorrow morning. This will unfortunately reduce the amount of time you spend walking the trails however, it does give you a very different and all-encompassing view of the canyon.
Catch a bird's eye view of the Grand Canyon on an optional scenic helicopter flight before making your way back to Las Vegas via the famous Route 66 and town of Seligman. Time to put those lucky numbers to the test, not to mention your energy levels in this 24/7 party town. A-list stars swarm here, although breaking the bank may be easier than blagging your way into their swanky celebrity hangouts. If you're staying on to explore Vegas, why not cruise the Strip in a super-stretch limousine or ease the pain in one of the famous all-you-can-eat buffets. Vegas isn't all about gambling and clubs, why not check out a show, take an evening flight down the Strip or get yourself hitched by Elvis Presley (don't worry it's not legally binding, unless you want it to be)?
This trip normally concludes late in the afternoon of day 4. In order to make sure you catch your flight, we suggest you book an extra post tour hotel night in Las Vegas and enjoy your last night out on the town.
Our tours usually depart at 07:30am and finish around 5:00pm at designated hotels in our gateway cities, so it's a great idea to book a room for the night before and after your tour. It's also worth staying extra nights to explore the city more. You must book these hotels in advance either online with your tour or by contacting our friendly sales team.
