Meet your fellow Trekkers in the hotel lobby and let your tour leader guide you through LA's hotspots on your very first day in California. See the who's who of the celebrity world as you let your feet wander over some of your favourite actors' and musicians' names on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Your next stop will take you to one of the wealthiest parts of LA, Beverly Hills. If you've been craving some beach time, you're in luck. Venice Beach is up next! Soak up some rays or take in the cool vibes with a wander along the boardwalk where musicians, hair braiders and roller bladers all hang out under the Californian sun. The beach vibes don't stop there as you cruise to Santa Monica and take in the bright lights of the famous Santa Monica Pier. There's no denying that LA is full on, but totally awesome!

It's time for some laid-back vibes as you head north to the chilled out coastal town of Santa Barbara. Sometimes referred to as the American Riviera, with its world-class beaches and majestic mountains as its backdrop; there is so much to do here. If you want in on some of the action, opt for some paddleboarding and see Santa Barbara from the water. As you wander down the vibrant streets packed with awesome shops, make sure you take in the colourful Spanish culture and then find yourself a nice spot under a palm tree and... relax!

The sparkling Californian coastline is up next as you drive along the iconic Highway 1. With the tunes blasting from the stereo and the long winding road ahead of you, today is going to be a good day! Enjoy the Californian sunshine on your face as you hit some of the coastal trails on your way north. You'll stop at the awesome and oh so beautiful McWay Falls; hands down one of the sweetest spots you've ever seen. Picture a 24 metre (80 ft.) waterfall crashing down onto its very own beach, with the bluest ocean and towering cliffs as far as the eye can see. Also on the cards today are the Pfeiffer Falls and Valley View Trails, and the chance to hike amongst towering Redwoods, the tallest trees in the world.

UPDATE: Due to recent storm damage, the Pacific Coast Highway (Hwy 1) is closed in the Big Sur area south of Monterey. Until further notice we will not be visiting McWay Falls, and will instead drive directly from San Luis Obispo area to Yosemite National Park after exploring the small beach towns of Cambria & Morro Bay.
