Seward is home to the Harding Icefield, one of the largest in the USA. Head north and stop at Talkeetna for the chance to try some reindeer sausage, a local delicacy, before arriving at awe-inspiring Denali National Park with its endless views and hiking opportunities. Your included scenic bus pass will help you explore, but the Denali rangers encourage visitors to get off the beaten track, and you'll soon feel like a real explorer as you head out into this vast wilderness. Daylight is well and truly on your side in Alaska as summer puts in so many overtime hours this far north, giving you more time to explore this wild wonderland. Try and spot the Alaskan ‘Big Five’: caribou, wolves, Dall Sheep, moose and Grizzly Bear, as you hike in the shadows of Mount Denali, which is usually translated as 'The Great One'. It's North America's highest mountain, standing at an incredible 6,190m (20,320 ft)! If budget allows, opt for a once in a lifetime scenic flight over Mount Denali, the views are simply breathtaking.

The scenery just keeps on getting better and better as you take the scenic road along the Alaska Mountain Range towards America's largest national park - Wrangell-St Elias. It's home to many of America's highest peaks and largest glaciers - including a glacier that's bigger than the state of Rhode Island. The next couple of days are going to be pretty epic. Untended trails, unpaved roads and unending views are exactly what you signed up for! Wilderness camping amongst this scenery is definitely a real highlight. As the Wrangell Mountains cast their lengthy shadow, ready yourself for some top-notch glacier action. How about a guided hike on the Kennecott Glacier? A diverse, mind blowing experience!

A fantastic tour. Denali National Park has to be seen to be believed, white water rafter in ice cold rapids is awesome and ice climbing is very unique. This tour had plenty of highlights, great service by our guide Eddie and packed a massive punch for seven days. Highly recommend.

Brilliant experience. Bear viewing, camping, salmon viewing, Ice climbing, hiking...

Reviewed December 2012
I had a great experience. Camping in Wrangell-St Elias National Park during the season when bears were feasting on the autumn berries was surreal for me coming from London. I have been to Canada and North America and had always wanted to see a bear, but to see them so close and with cubs was amazing...
