Flexible Itinerary

Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops and highlights. However, as local conditions and passenger requests vary, no two trips will ever be the same. With the guidance of your Trek Leader you may modify certain night stops and highlights to give a truly unique experience!

As this tour departs at 0730 we recommend that you book pre-tour accommodation. Please request hotel details at the time of booking.

• Day 1: Los Angeles & San Luis Obispo

  Depart Los Angeles early in the morning with a stop at Santa Barbara to explore the Spanish missionary influence or enjoy beach time at this beautiful American Riviera town. Continue along the coast to the San Luis Obispo area.
  Accommodation: Budget Lodging included | Meals: Paid locally

• Day 2: San Luis Obispo & Monterey

  Enjoy the morning drive along Highway 1, with spectacular vistas, wildlife viewing of sea lions (seasonal) and if you're lucky, whale sightings. There'll be opportunity to explore remote beaches and savor an included picnic lunch before making our way north up the coast to the famous and fashionable fishing town of Monterey.

• Day 3: Monterey & San Francisco

  Depart for San Francisco and enjoy an afternoon stop at Santa Cruz, a fun and funky beach town. Roll into San Francisco, the city by the bay, with a stop along the waterfront to soak up amazing views of the bay, city skyline, and of course, the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

  This trip normally concludes late in the afternoon of day 3. In order to make sure you catch your flight, we suggest you book an extra post tour hotel night in San Francisco.
