FLEXIBLE ITINERARY

Day: 1-2
Los Angeles & San Diego
Leaving Los Angeles we follow the coast to California's answer to winter weather, "always temperate" San Diego. Outdoors is where it's at and we have two days here to explore. Hang with the surfing set on Mission Beach and feast upon a tasty mahi mahi taco. Or cycle in Balboa Park, before a meet and greet with the residents of the famed San Diego Zoo or Sea World.
Accommodation: Camping included
-
Day: 3-4
Sonora Desert & Wild West Cowboy Camp
Any road trip worth its salt needs highways stretching to the cactus-studded horizon, so expect quality bonding backdrops as California turns to sun-drenched Sonora Desert in Arizona. Our Wild West Cowboy Camp is then calling us! Opt to mount your trusty steed and trot between the iconic saguaro cacti, with familiar curved arms and looming as high as 20 feet. Fresh from the saddle, tuck into an authentic chuck wagon dinner (that's a mobile cookhouse) before a night under a million desert stars.
Accommodation: Camping included
-
Day: 5-6
Grand Canyon National Park
On the road north, drop by the ancient high-rise dwellings known as Montezuma's Castle National Monument. Step back in time, and discover the hidden secrets of one of America's most ancient cultures, the Anasazi. Now admire a masterpiece etched by wind and water: the Grand Canyon. Tread the Bright Angel Trail to Indian Gardens, or venture to Plateau Point; or take a helicopter flight for a birds-eye view and marvel at the brilliant colours. The canyon depths is nothing short of mind-blowing. Then again so is the sunrise and that's free.
Accommodation: 2 en-route hotel nights paid locally
-
Day: 7-8
Las Vegas
Next is the man-made wonder of the desert, Las Vegas. Night life, high life, Las Vegas has it all. Take a tour of the Las Vegas Strip, and watch as night turns into day under the glare of neon marquees. Casino shows and excellent nightclubs make this truly "a city that never sleeps".
Accommodation: 2 en-route hotel nights paid locally
-
Day: 9
Death Valley National Park
Our desert experience is completed by the perfect winter destination: Death Valley National Park. The blistering summer heat is no more, so your camera will lap up sights like Artist's Palette, a giant egg-box of turquoise, orange and red mineral deposits, Zabriskie Point, and the immense perspectives of Dante's View, a perfect view indeed!
Accommodation: Camping included
-
Day: 10
Los Angeles
Kick up the Mojave Desert dust on your way back to LA. Tour Beverly Hills and Hollywood, home to the most famous real estate sign in the world. Then make like a celeb on Sunset Strip, with its glam stores and glitzy nightspots.
Tour ends at approx 17:00 hrs in Los Angeles on day 10.
