  • Day 1-2: Los Angeles & San Diego

Check out the glitz and the glam of Hollywood as you catch your first glimpse of this star-studded neighbourhood. Take a stroll along Venice Beach boardwalk and watch as street performers and skateboarders pass you by. It's time to leave the celebs in LA and head to San Diego where it is all about bronzed bodies, big shades and baggy shorts. Visit the famous San Diego Zoo with over 3,000 animals or simply laze in grassy Balboa Park. It's now time to top up your Californian tan with a trip to Mission Beach one of the nicest beaches on the west coast and a must see when in San Diego. Later, cruise the Gaslamp Quarter and the heart of San Diego's nightlife and soak up a blazing Californian sunset as the sun goes down on the first day of your Western adventure.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 3-4: Las Vegas

It's Vegas, baby! Nowhere on earth is quite like it. Why not treat yourself to a high-rolling super-stretch limo, indulge in an all-you-can eat buffet, take in a show or just watch the amazing crowds, and neon signs as the glitzy hotels try to out-do each other with spectacular attractions. And if that's not enough, take an optional helicopter flight down The Strip or just gamble the night away in one of the world class casinos. If after all that you're still left wanting more, head on over to a chapel and get hitched by the one and only Elvis. Just remember what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Accommodation: Hotels included in tour price

  • Day 5-6: Grand Canyon National Park

Today will define the word `road trip' as you cruise down the original Route 66, formally the main road in the USA for cross country road trips. You'll stop off at the iconic sights such as the quirky town of Seligman which sits frozen in time and has tons of shops full of Americana memorabilia and the impressive Hoover Dam. It's now time for the main event, the mighty Grand Canyon National Park. Nothing you have ever seen before will prepare you for this spectacular site, it will simply blow your socks off. Hike from the forest above to the desert below, red rock to white powder, or take an optional helicopter flight above it all and marvel at the brilliant colours from the ultimate birds eye view. To really see the Grand Canyon in all its glory wait for sunset or sunrise where the colours really do amaze!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 7: Lake Powell & Guest Ranch

Straddling the border of Utah and Arizona, Lake Powell is desert paradise with a long list of things to do. Go for a swim in the crystal clear waters or simply sit by the shore and relax. Before you know it you'll be out of your swimsuit and strapping on your cowboy boots at the Western guest ranch and opting for a horseback ride for that ultimate `Wild West' experience. Kick back and enjoy some delicious home cooking and some truly awesome scenery.
    Accommodation: Camping and meals included

  • Day 8: Monument Valley

Visit the iconic vista of Horseshoe Bend, a stunning stretch of the Colorado River strangely enough shaped in a horseshoe and also one of the most photographed areas on the Colorado River. Immerse yourself in native culture on an included guided jeep tour of the Navajo Reservation and back roads. Experience the home of the real `Wild West' as you stand in front of one of the most iconic landscapes in the area, Monument Valley. Marvel at the sight of towering buttes and mesas which dominate the awe-inspiring landscape. You won't find a better location to swap campfire stories under a blanket of stars.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 9-11: Moab/Arches National Park

With some 2,000 gravity defying sandstone arches striking a pose, Utah's undisputed adventure capital guarantees non-stop fun. With two days here you'll have plenty of time to explore this incredible place. Take a sunset stroll and watch as the sun sets over Delicate Arch or for the action lovers, hire a mountain bike for some adrenalin pumping cycling along Moab's slickrock path. For the ultimate adventure head down the Colorado River on an optional float trip and see this stunning place from a different perspective.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 12: Capitol Reef & Bryce Canyon National Park

In the heart of red rock country, Capitol Reef National Park is packed full of cliffs, canyons and domes and we've only got Mother Nature to thank for that. If you want more awesome rock formations to gawk at then you're definitely in the right place. Famed for its hoodoos, you're in Bryce Canyon National Park. You're probably thinking "What's a hoodoo when it's at home?" Actually, hoodoos are weird and wonderful rock spires arranged in rows. "Mysterious", "breath-taking" and "out of this world" are only a few of the descriptions offered by past visitors to Bryce Canyon National Park. Native Americans believe these crazy shapes to be `Legend People' who were turned to stone for their sins, but we'll let you decide. For close up views you'll have plenty of time to take advantage of the park's incredible system of trails. Wherever you walk, you will encounter a kaleidoscope of colours and a fantasy land of rock spires that will leave you searching for your own way to describe this 'indescribable' place.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 13: Zion National Park

For unbelievable 360 degree views of the entire National Park then you must hike up to Angels Landing, the hike itself will leave you breathless in more ways than one. If you prefer to take the low road, then strap on your boots and prepare to get a little wet as you wade through the magnificent `Narrows', carved out by the Virgin River. As you wander through the towering cathedral-like sandstone walls, you'll really get a sense of how unique and beautiful this place really this. Whether you're up top or down below Zion National Park will blow your mind and you're guaranteed one heck of a great time here.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 14: Rachel & Eastern Sierras

Visit Rachel in Nevada a very popular destination with UFO hunters, make sure you stop at Little A'Le Inn Bar for close encounters of the Alien kind. Rachel is also the closet town to the former secret US Air Force site known as Area 51. Make the most of this remote location by leaving civilisation behind for a night in the heart of the Eastern Sierra Mountains.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 15-16: Yosemite National Park

Prepare to be wowed as you witness thundering waterfalls, granite peaks and towering Sequoia trees in the stunning Yosemite National Park. Amazing scenery awaits you around every corner as well as an abundance of wildlife, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for bears, coyotes and other wildlife that live here. To be part of the action why not take a float trip on the Merced River or hike the Mist Trail to Vernal Falls for jaw-dropping views every step of the way.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 17-18: San Francisco

As soon as you step foot onto the streets of San Francisco, you'll wonder why you've only just decided to pay a visit. Soak up the hippy vibes in Haight-Ashbury and while you're there why not take a stroll around Golden Gate Park, for some stunning views of the bay. For the ultimate view of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge set sail on an optional sunset sail cruise for views of the city and Alcatraz. We include a ferry across to the infamous Alcatraz Prison so ready your cameras for that perfect `inmate' shot. Finish your day off with a visit to Fisherman's Wharf for some delicious sea food before sampling San Francisco's famous nightlife in North Beach.
Accommodation: Hotels included in tour price

  • Day 19: Monterey & Big Sur

A drive along the Pacific Coast Highway is what road trip dreams are made of. As you head down the rugged California coast you'll be amazed at how breath-taking the scenery is. Visit Monterey and enjoy a coastal walk with beautiful views and chances to spot wales, sea lions and elephant seals.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 20: Santa Barbara

Enjoy a free day in sunny Santa Barbara to explore the pier, shop or relax on the beach. Known as 'The American Riviera', you'll find no shortage of palm trees to sit beneath - perhaps with a glass of local wine? Want more adventure? This quirky town is surrounded by mountains and offers some great hiking, kayaking and boogie boarding. This is grade-A California right here!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 21: Los Angeles

As your 21 day adventure draws to an end make the most of a few more hours on the white sandy beaches of the Californian Coast with some free time in Santa Barbara.
