This quick taste of the western USA highlights the area's two most important national parks, the wonders of incomparable Las Vegas, and the desert splendour of the Colorado River region, all sandwiched between America's loveliest city, San Francisco, and its most unique, Los Angeles.

FLEXIBLE ITINERARY
Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops and highlights. However, as local conditions and passenger requests vary, no two trips will ever be the same. With the help of your Trek Leader and fellow trekkers you may modify certain nightstops and highlights to give a truly unique experience!

San Francisco, Yosemite & Central California
Bidding San Francisco a reluctant farewell, head east through California's gold country, where in 1848, the finding of a single nugget triggered a stampede of gold-seekers known as the 49'ers. Then, a scenic drive into the Yosemite National Park region and a chance to hike, bike, or float through the extraordinary landscape of glacier-carved granite monoliths, spectacular waterfalls and groves of giant Sequoia trees - the largest living things on earth! If you want a real challenge, try the 17 mile round trip hike to the top of Half Dome!

Las Vegas
Next, Las Vegas - the greatest show on earth! Cruise "The Strip" in style with the included limousine tour, then indulge in an all-you-can eat buffet, take in a show or just watch the amazing crowds, neon and attractions that many hotel casinos have to offer. And if that's not enough, take a helicopter flight down The Strip or just gamble the night away in one of the world class casinos.
Accommodation: 1 night Vegas hotel approx US$45 pppn for multi-share rooms paid locally.

Grand Canyon, Colorado River & Los Angeles
Leaving Las Vegas, explore America's premier National Park, and find out why it is called the Grand Canyon. Visit the viewpoints, hike the trails, or take a scenic flight for a bird's-eye view - no matter what, you will not believe your eyes. Then, drop down into the desert for a lovely last evening along the Colorado River, before heading to the City of Angels for a tour of Hollywood and our final destination.
Accommodation: Camping included.
Tour ends at 18:00 hrs in Los Angeles on day 7.
