Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops, highlights, and included experiences, but with lots of optional activities to choose from, stops at some of your leaders favourite places and occasional changes in local conditions no two Trek trips are ever the same so come ready for a unique adventure.

Itinerary Update: Please note from 01/01/2015, this is a 20 day tour ending in Las Vegas. All 2014 departures are 21 days and end in Los Angeles. A new addition for 2015 is an included half day rafting tour in Jackson, Wyoming.

  • Day 1: Seattle & Mount Rainier National Park

    Make sure you book a couple of nights before the tour starts to give yourself more time to explore Seattle, a city with tons of things to see and do. As you leave city life behind you, it's time to make your way towards the jewel of the Cascade Mountain range, Mt Rainier National Park. This spectacular national park is a great way to kick-start this awesome tour into gear, with over 300 miles of hiking trails available it would be rude not to spend the afternoon stretching those legs and breathing in the fresh Pacific Northwest air.

  • Day 2: Montana

    As you cruise from Washington State into Montana you'll be awestruck at the untamed, rugged and wild landscape of this unbelievable part of the U.S. If you can tear your eyes away from the stunning scenery flying past your window make the most of this van time to get to know your Trek buddies as you're all on one awesome adventure together.

  • Day 3-4: Glacier National Park

    If the scenic ice-carved valleys and hikes along turquoise lakes don't get you snap happy in Glacier National Park, then nothing will. With over 26 glaciers throughout the park and grizzly bears, moose, elk, mountain goats, marmots and a host of birds and small animals all living here, there is nothing not to love about this wonderful place. This crown of the continent is not to be missed if you love adventure!

  • Day 5: Western Ranch Stay

    Playing hard, eating well and telling tales are all in a day's fun at our included mountain ranch stay, an unmissable feature for travellers to Montana! For the ultimate ranch experience hit the many surrounding trails on horseback or on foot.

  • Day 6-7: Yellowstone National Park

    Heading out of Montana straight into Wyoming the scenery just keeps on getting better as you reach Yellowstone National Park. View explosive geysers including `Old Faithful' and colourful waterfalls while exploring the world's oldest and most famous national park. There is an abundance of wildlife here so have your camera at the ready and if you're lucky you may spot bison, elk, and bears and if you're really lucky you may spot a wolf as they have recently been re-introduced to the park. There is no doubt about it the next couple of days in Yellowstone National Park will be awesome!

  • Day 8: Grand Teton National Park & Jackson

    Next up are the wonderful views and hikes in the majestic Grand Teton National Park. With few foothills to speak of, the jagged peaks here rise like teeth from lush, flat meadows against a bright blue sky and with beautiful pristine lakes, this national park does nothing but impress. Catch a ferry across Jenny Lake and hike up to the Inspiration Point; the name is no exaggeration and the hike will keep you smiling as you cross glacial moraines and meadows filled with colourful flowers. Just remember to keep an eye out for grizzlies along the way.

  • Day 9: Jackson

    It's time to get the adrenaline pumping on an included rafting trip down the raging Snake River rapids, one of America's last great untamed rivers. As you're floating down the river don't forget to look around you as this is some of the best scenery you could ask for, it's not every day you get to raft against a backdrop of the mighty Teton Range, so enjoy!

  • Day 10: Colorado Hot Springs

    Back on the highway, those rising mountain tops just keep on coming as you reach Colorado. Colorado is the place where outdoor lovers from all over the world congregate and there is no surprise when you see how unbelievable this place is. If all the excitement gets a little too much for you, chill out in the nearby Strawberry Hot Springs.

  • Day 11-12: Rocky Mountain National Park

    No matter what time of the year you are here you will be left awe-struck at the majestic mountain tops that surround you. It doesn't matter what level of fitness you are there are heaps of trails for you to enjoy, from nice hikes around a mountain lake to more challenging uphill trails. With so much wildlife here, it is very unlikely that you will go home without seeing something, even if it's just an adorable little chipmunk. Spend two nights in the stunning Estes Park and enjoy the unbelievable vistas the park has to offer.

  • Day 13-14: Colorado Rockies

    Adventure is definitely well truly out there in the Colorado Rockies, so get out there and get amongst it. Walking and biking in the craggy scenery will blow your mind as you walk some of the worlds most loved hiking trails and if at the end of the day you're feeling a little tired, the nearby hot springs will provide you with some welcome relief for your weary bones.

  • Day 15: Monument Valley

    From one iconic place to the next, this time in the form of red rock and desert. One of the most photographed places in America, Monument Valley, you've officially entered the land of the real `Wild West'. Marvel at the sight of towering buttes and mesas which dominate the landscape and immerse yourself in the Navajo culture with an optional 4x4 guided tour of this awesome place. As the sun goes down continue to be amazed at the stunning starry night sky as you sit around a campfire feasting on s'mores, it doesn't get much better than this.

  • Day 16-17: Grand Canyon National Park

    Now it's time for the ultimate show stopper, the mighty Grand Canyon. Trek the Bright Angel Trail to Indian Gar-dens or Plateau Point for a view from deep in the canyon, whichever route you decide to take the views will leave you speechless. But, if you really want to be blown away, jump in a helicopter and view the canyon from above, there really is no experience like it. Watch the colours come alive as you witness the sun set or rise on this phenomenal natural wonder, perfection!

  • Day 18: Lake Powell

    Lake Powell, formerly the great Glenn Canyon, offers an unsurpassed desert experience. Go for a swim in the clear blue waters or just relax on the shore and take in the beauty of this man-made oasis. We stop at Horseshoe Bend for that classic viewpoint of the Colorado River snaking through the canyon. To top it all off you'll pay a visit to Antelope Canyon a place that needs to be seen to be believed, you'll wander through towering curved canyon walls, with shafts of light coming down like an impending alien abduction.

  • Day 19: Zion National Park

    By now you'll be thinking that you've seen it all, but not quite. Zion National Park is up there with the best of them. Hike along towering peaks, sweeping plateaus and famous hanging gardens. For the ultimate 360 degree view of the entire park make your way up to Angels Landing, we promise you won't be disappointed.

  • Day 20: Las Vegas

    With a sudden burst of neon, Vegas is right in your face - there really is nowhere else quite like it! Cruise The Strip in a super-stretch limo, indulge in an all-you-can eat buffet, take in a show or just watch the amazing crowds, neon signs and attractions that many hotel casinos have to offer. And if that's not enough, take a helicopter flight back down The Strip or just gamble the night away in one of the world class casinos. This will no doubt be one heck of a night to remember.

    This tour ends at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 22:00 hrs.

Tours begin and end at designated hotels in the departure and arrival cities, starting at 7.30am (check your tour voucher for exact details) and finishing at around 5pm, so it's a great idea to book a room for the night before and after your tour.
