Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1: Seattle & Mount Rainier National Park

    Make sure you book a couple of nights before the tour starts to give yourself some time to explore Seattle, a city that oozes coolness and has tons of things to see and do, from sipping on a latte in the original Starbucks to soaring high above the city with a trip to the top of the Space Needle. As you leave city life behind you, it's time to make your way towards the jewel of the Cascade Mountain Range, Mount Rainier National Park. This spectacular national park is a great way to kick-start this awesome tour into gear, with over 300 miles of hiking trails available it would be rude not to spend the afternoon stretching those legs and breathing in the fresh Pacific Northwest air.

  • Day 2: Montana

    As you cruise from Washington State into Montana you'll be awestruck at the untamed, rugged and wild landscape of this unbelievable part of the US If you can tear your eyes away from the stunning scenery flying past your window, make the most of this van time to get to know your Trek buddies as you're all on one awesome adventure together.

  • Day 3-4: Glacier National Park

    If the scenic ice-carved valleys and hikes along turquoise lakes don't get you snap happy in Glacier National Park, then nothing will. With over 26 glaciers throughout the park and Grizzly Bear, moose, elk, mountain goats, marmots and a host of birds and small animals all living here, there's nothing not to love about this wonderful place. This crown of the continent is not to be missed if you love adventure!

  • Day 5: Montana Lodge Stay

    Playing hard, eating well and telling tales are all in a day's fun at our included mountain ranch stay, an unmissable feature for travellers to Montana! This traditional hunting lodge features traditional taxidermy and is set in a beautiful spot with mountain views and walking trails right outside. You can even head out across the western plains on an optional horseback ride. With a home-cooked dinner and breakfast waiting for you, you're in for a warm Montana welcome!

  • Day 6-7: Yellowstone National Park

    Heading out of Montana straight into Wyoming the scenery just keeps on getting better as you reach Yellowstone National Park. View explosive geysers including Old Faithful and colourful waterfalls while exploring the world's oldest and most famous national park. There's an abundance of wildlife here so have your camera at the ready and if you're lucky you may spot bison, elk and bear. For the ultimate wildlife spot, keep your eyes peeled for wolves, as they have recently been re-introduced to the park. There is no doubt about it, the next couple of days in Yellowstone National Park will be awesome!

  • Day 8-9: Grand Teton National Park & Jackson

    Next up are the wonderful views and hikes in the majestic Grand Teton National Park. With few foothills to speak of, the jagged peaks here rise like teeth from lush, flat meadows against a bright blue sky. Coupled with beautiful pristine lakes, this national park does nothing but impress. Catch a ferry across Jenny Lake and hike up to Inspiration Point; the name is no exaggeration and the hike will keep you smiling as you cross glacial moraines and meadows filled with colourful wildflowers. You're not the only one walking the trails, so remember to keep an eye out for Grizzlies along the way.

  • Day 10: Steamboat Hot Springs

    Back on the highway, those rising mountain tops just keep on coming as you reach stunning Colorado. Colorado is the place where outdoor lovers from all over the world congregate and there's no wonder why when you see just how unbelievable this place is. If all the excitement gets a little too much for you, you'll enjoy an included chill out in the nearby Steamboat Hot Springs.

  • Day 11-12: Rocky Mountain National Park

    No matter what time of the year you're here you'll be left awe-struck at the majestic mountain tops that surround you. It doesn't matter what level of fitness you are there are heaps of trails for you to enjoy, from peaceful hikes around a mountain lake to more challenging uphill trails. With so much wildlife here, it is very unlikely that you'll go home without seeing something special, even if it's just an adorable little chipmunk. Spend two nights in the stunning Estes Park and enjoy the unbelievable vistas the park has to offer.

  • Day 13-14: Colorado Rockies

    Adventure is definitely well and truly here in the Colorado Rockies, so get out there and get amongst it. The included mountain biking tour of the Rockies with a local is a great way to see the best of the area, with mind-blowing scenery, interesting facts about the surrounding area and of course some adrenalin pumping action. Hiking in the craggy scenery will leave you feeling inspired as you walk some of the world's most loved hiking trails. If at the end of the day you're feeling a little tired, an optional visit to the nearby hot springs will provide you with some welcome relief for your weary feet.

  • Day 15: Monument Valley

    From one iconic place to the next, this time in the form of red rock and desert, it's Monument Valley. One of the most photographed places in America, you've officially entered the land of the real `Wild West'. Marvel at the sight of towering buttes and mesas which dominate the landscape and immerse yourself in the Navajo culture with an optional 4x4 guided tour of this awesome place (highly recommended). As the sun goes down continue to be amazed at the stunning starry night sky as you sit around a campfire. Life on the road doesn't get much better than this.

  • Day 16-17: Grand Canyon National Park

    Now it's time for the ultimate show stopper, the mighty Grand Canyon National Park. Hike the Bright Angel Trail to Indian Gardens or Plateau Point for a view from deep in the canyon. From sunrise to sunset this incredible national park is mind blowing. Whichever route you decide to take, the views will leave you speechless. But, if you really want to be blown away, jump in a helicopter and view the canyon from above, there really is no experience like it.

  • Day 18: Lake Powell

    Lake Powell, formerly the great Glenn Canyon, offers an unsurpassed desert experience. Go for a swim in the clear blue waters or just relax on the shore and take in the beauty of this man-made oasis. We stop at Horseshoe Bend for that classic viewpoint of the Colorado River snaking through the canyon, believe us when we say it's a real stunner. To top it all off, enjoy and included visit to Antelope Canyon, a place that needs to be seen to be believed. You'll wander through towering curved canyon walls, with shafts of light coming down like an impending alien abduction.

  • Day 19: Zion National Park

    By now you'll be thinking that you've seen it all, but not quite. Zion National Park is up there with the best of them. Hike along towering peaks, sweeping plateaus and famous hanging gardens. For the ultimate 360 degree view of the entire park, make your way up to Angels Landing, we promise you won't be disappointed.

  • Day 20: Las Vegas

    With a sudden burst of neon, Vegas is right in your face - there really is nowhere else quite like it! You'll be spoilt for choice here in Sin City with an included ride in a super-stretch limo. Indulge in an all-you-can eat buffet, take in a show or just watch the amazing crowds, neon signs and attractions that many hotels have to offer. And if that's not enough, take a helicopter flight back down the Strip. This will no doubt be one heck of a night to remember.

    This tour ends at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.

Hotels Before and After your tour

Tours begin and end at designated hotels in the departure and arrival cities, starting at 7.30am (check your tour voucher for exact details) and finishing at around 5pm, so it's a great idea to book a room for the night before and after your tour.
