  • Day 1: Los Angeles & Santa Barbara

With the Californian sun on your face you're off to Hollywood where you'll find the famous sign and Walk of Fame. It's now time to leave the glitz and glam of `La la land' behind you and head to the coast. First up is Santa Barbara, a "gem of a coastal city" with a decidedly Spanish flair with miles of pristine sandy beaches, this is a great introduction to the incredible Californian Coast.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 2: Big Sur

With each passing mile on California's most famous road, the Pacific Coast Highway the shore grows yet more spectacular, as Redwood forested mountains lean down towards beautiful sandy beaches and the pounding Pacific swell. Follow the coastal path to the one of the most iconic scenes of the Big Sur, McWay Falls a stunning 80 foot waterfall that cascades directly onto its own private beach. With such amazing scenery and tons of wildlife such as sea lions and whales, there is no wonder this is one of the best stretches of road on the West Coast.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 3-4: Yosemite National Park

As you say `so long' to the ocean for a couple of days you head towards the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the towering peaks of Yosemite National Park. You'll have two days to hike, bike, or float through this extraordinary landscape of glacier-carved granite monoliths, spectacular waterfalls and groves of giant Sequoia trees. Make the most of the great selection of hiking trails suitable for all levels of fitness and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for bears and coyotes who roam the trails too.

The highlights keep coming thick and fast with an included trip to the city's most famous attraction, Alcatraz (2015 dates only). Learn all about the prisoners who spent their lives trying to escape with a superb audio tour. You can't go all way to San Francisco without a stroll across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and better yet why not set sail on an optional sunset sail cruise for a different perspective of the famous bridge.
    Accommodation: Hotel included

As the name suggest these trees are tall and are in fact the tallest trees on earth, so be prepared to spend a lot of time looking up. As you explore more of the park you might start to recognise the canyons covered in fern and moss from Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World, don't worry the dinosaurs are long gone. After an amazing day in Redwood National Park watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean on what is virtually your own private beach. Sounds like the perfect day, right?

  • Day 26-27: Las Vegas

Time to put those lucky numbers to the test, not to mention your energy levels in this 24/7 party town. A-list stars swarm here, although breaking the bank may be easier than blagging your way into their swanky celebrity hangouts. If that fails you can still cruise The Strip in a super-stretch limousine or ease the pain in one of the famous all-you-can-eat buffets. But Vegas isn't all about gambling and clubs, why not check out a show, take an evening flight down the Strip or get yourself hitched by Elvis Presley (don't worry it's not legally binding, unless you want it to be).
    Accommodation: Hotel included

Note: 2014 dates will visit Las Vegas on Day 27 only.

  • Day 28: Los Angeles

Finish your tour in style with a stroll around Hollywood and the Walk of Fame and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for some celebrity sightings. Head down to Venice Beach, the perfect place for some last minute relaxing in the Californian sun.
