ITINERARY
Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops and highlights. However, as local and operational conditions may vary and unforeseen circumstances can arise, the following itinerary should be used as a guideline.
-
Day: 1 & 2
Las Vegas & Zion National Park
Departing Las Vegas it is a comfortable drive to Zion National Park, where nature puts on a show of her own during our two day visit. Hire a bike or visit the ghost town where "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" was filmed, hike to the Emerald Pools (always a hit with the kids!) or try 'river tubing'. At the end of the day, take a dip or just relax by the pool, taking in the spectacular views of Zion Canyon.
Meals: Paid locally | Accommodation: Hotel included
-
Day: 3 & 4
Bryce Canyon & Mountain Ranch
It is just a short, but truly spectacular drive from Zion to Bryce National Park, where wind and water have sculpted a fantasy land of rock spires and formations that almost defy description. Next stop on the trail is our mountain ranch where you will saddle up for an optional horseback ride. Then tuck in to some typical western chow before retiring to the lodge or one of the rustic log cabins.
Meals: Included at Ranch. Others paid locally | Accommodation: 1 night Bryce hotel & 1 night ranch stay
-
Day: 5
Monument Valley
From here we head to Monument Valley - instantly recognisable from countless western movies - where the Navajo and their ancestors have lived for generations. It is not hard to see why filmmakers, locals and visitors alike find this such a special place. A guided jeep tour takes you off the beaten path and reveals more about the native culture and way of life.
Meals: Paid locally | Accommodation: Hotel included
-
Day: 6 & 7
Lake Powell
From the dusty trail we leave Navajo Territory and head towards the cooling blue waters of Lake Powell for two days. This huge man-made lake offers swimming and all manner of water sports against the most amazing red-rock backdrop.
Meals: Paid locally | Accommodation: Hotel included
-
Day: 8 & 9
Grand Canyon National Park
Just when you think you have run out of superlatives, the tour is topped off with one of the world's greatest natural wonders - the Grand Canyon! A two-night stop ensures enough time to experience its splendour. An optional helicopter or aeroplane ride really puts the immense scale of the place into perspective and the included I-MAX movie allows a fascinating glimpse of some of its hidden secrets.
Meals: Paid locally | Accommodation: Hotel included
-
Day: 10
Las Vegas
Heading back to Las Vegas via a man-made wonder, the enormous Hoover Dam, the whole family will have packed in enough adventure for a year!
Tour ends at 18:00 in Las Vegas on day 10.
