  • Day 1: New York Area & Niagara Falls

From the New York area to the edge of Lake Ontario, the sensation of crashing water is stupendous, the noise immense, at America's greatest national attractions, Niagara Falls. Wait until you're down on the water aboard the included 'Maid of the Mist' cruise, where the cascades pound, churn and foam right before your eyes. That's what you call a front row seat!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 2: Ohio

Ask a "Buckeye" to tell you all about their state nut or how cool they think Cedar Point Amusement Park's rollercoasters are! Ride the Millenium Force - the greatest roller coaster in the world!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 3-4: Shipshewana & Chicago

Visit the Amish community in Shipshewana, Indiana who maintain a more traditional way of life, and make a brief stop in Gary, Indiana for a photo of the house that Michael Jackson grew up in; then its into Chicago - the "Windy City", home to some of the greatest blues music in America. Soar up Willis Tower for dizzying views over the Windy City. Trawl the upmarket malls of Magnificent Mile and grab a slice of Chicago's deep-dish pizza before taking to peddle power on the included famous "Bobby's Bike Hike" tour.
    Accommodation: Hostel included

  • Day 5: Wisconsin, Minnesota & South Dakota

Head out across the great prairies and America's original western frontier. We pass though Wisconsin, the American home of cheese where your leader will introduce a taste of Wisconsin. We also make visits to the famous Jolly Green Giant Statue in Blue Earth before settling in for the night. Resident coyotes may utter the occasional howl as you settle back for some shut-eye under canvas.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 6: Badlands National Park

All signs lead to Wall Drug - the renowned drug store in the little frontier town of Wall, it's so big you need a map to get around and it's also your last stop before heading into the Badlands. Touching down here feels more like a moon landing due to the bizzare lunar landscape of low slung buttes, chiselled spires and saw tooth ridges.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 7: Mount Rushmore

The Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore, South Dakota. It was sculpted by Danish-American Gutzon Borglum and his son, Lincoln Borglum and features the heads of four United States presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. Close by, another rock-carved epic is shaping up: the Crazy Horse monument, a nod to the famed Lakota Indian war leader, very impressive!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 8: Cody

Next, it's Wild Wyoming, in the heart of cowboy country; this is what Cody is all about. From its cowboy roots to its summer rodeos, shake a leg and try some two-step as the buckin' bronco rears its massive head! Why not indulge yourself in a nightly rodeo from June to August as nothing says Wyoming more than a good dose of rodeo and a Stetson!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 9-10: Yellowstone National Park

Pitch up in the world's first National Park, Yellowstone. This is a superb wilderness of spouting geysers, waterfalls and simmering mud pools. Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 11-12: Jackson & Grand Teton National Park

Feel the old frontier spirit alive and kicking in the truly western town of Jackson, Wyoming. Nearby you can raft the Snake River rapids, one of America's last great untamed rivers (suitable to all abilities) on an optional white-water rafting trip, and then corral your posse into the nearest watering hole. Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is a fine tip, with saddles for stools and trophy cow horns above the counter.

Grand Teton National Park is an incredible park with giant sharp towers rising from the ground, and surrounded by some of awesome walking trails which offer high chances of seeing bear and moose. It is recommended to take the ferry across Jenny Lake and hike up to Inspiration Point for sensation views of the valley, lake and forest below.

A different way to see the park is to rent inner tubes and float down the Merced River.

  • Day 17-18: San Francisco

Arriving to the 'City by the Bay', we enjoy a sightseeing tour including the chance to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. This is followed with a walk around Haight-Ashbury which kick-started a generation of hippies and inspired some of the best music of the 1960's and 70's. With a full free day to explore the city there is plenty of time for shopping, visiting Chinatown, Alcatraz (book in advance), Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf and the famous painted ladies. In the evening why not venture out onto the water for an evening sunset cruise or hit the areas of Mission, Marina or the old speakeasy pubs which gained popularity during prohibition.

A quick visit to the sandy shores of Venice Beach makes for awesome people watching before leaving LA and onto the desert neon city of Las Vegas - the greatest show on earth. Watch out though, some dub this place 'Lost Wages'!

Included is a cruise down "The Strip" in a super-stretch limo but you may want to indulge in an all-you-can eat buffet, take in a show or just watch the amazing crowds and neon signs as the glitzy hotels try to outdo each other with spectacular attractions. And if that's not enough, take a helicopter flight back down The Strip, or just gamble the night away in one of the world class casinos. Oh and there's a saying here: what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
    Accommodation: Hotel included

  • Day 25: Zion National Park

Onwards to Zion National Park and explore the hidden canyons or maybe hike to Angels Landing for incredible views over the valley floor, as well as being an exceptional lunch spot. Pack your best boots and don't forget your camera for a sunrise/sunset hike along the rim. Venturing into the desert southwest, we hit iconic Monument Valley, used in countless Hollywood scenes from Westerns to 2001: A Space Odyssey and Forest Gump.
