There is ample time to explore all this vibrant metropolis has to offer. With its stunning combination of mountains and coastline, the city boasts outstanding views and is the perfect introduction to the land of the maple leaf. Stride, rollerblade or pedal your way round Stanley Park a 400- hectare natural West Coast rainforest, or relax and let the free shuttle take the strain. Don't let the fact Wells Gray is not a national park fool you, this place is seriously stunning and no Canadian road trip would be complete with a visit. Experience the incredible vistas of high mountains, deep canyons, volcanic cones and old growth forests. Make the most of the silence and peace before you hike to the stunning Helmcken Falls, a 141 meter waterfall on the Murtle River and one of the reasons for the creation of Wells Gray Provincial Park

The scenery will continue to impress as you come across Takakkaw Falls, falling from the mountains to the valley below and the vistas keep on coming as you lay eyes on the incredible Emerald Lake with its glacial hues and forest backdrop. Visit the Natural Rock Bridge before heading deeper to explore the park and its varied wildlife.

This land is so flat that people describe this region as a place where you can `watch your dog run away for days'. It puts places like Moose Jaw, Medicine Hat and Swift Current on the map.
