  • Day 1: Vancouver - Wells Gray Provincial Park

Fly in a couple of days early to experience all that Vancouver has to offer, which is a lot by the way! After a pre departure meeting, you leave Vancouver and head for Wells Gray Provincial Park; it might not have national park status, but it definitely delivers the goods! This place is seriously stunning and no Canadian road trip would be complete without a visit. Experience the incredible vistas with high mountains, deep canyons, volcanic cones and old growth forests. Make the most of the silence and peace before you hike to the stunning Helmcken Falls, a 141 metre waterfall on the Murtle River and one of the reasons for the creation of Wells Gray Provincial Park. Tonight you'll rest your head in an authentic guest ranch where you can get to know your fellow Trekkers by the roaring campfire, swapping stories and feasting on s'mores!
    Accommodation: Rustic bunkhouse included (multi-share)

  • Day 2-3: Jasper National Park

The endless valleys, sheer ridges, glaciers and spruce forests of the Icefields Parkway make for one of the world's ultimate drives and will soon have you raring to get stuck into the great outdoors yet again. Keep an eye out for an abundance of incredible wildlife that is fighting for your attention, from Grizzlies and wolves to caribou. This sprawling natural expanse offers bike trails, helicopter flights through the Canadian Rockies scenery and even the opportunity to choose to walk on an active glacier! Now that's bound to make you feel on top of the world.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 4: Yoho National Park

`Yoho' comes from the Cree word for `awe' and `wonder' and as soon as you start hiking through this incredible place you'll soon see why. Negotiate the rapids of the well-named Kicking Horse River which offers some of the best white water rafting in the world. The scenery will continue to impress as you come across Takakkaw Falls, falling from the mountains to the valley below. Emerald Lake is up next and we're pretty sure the glacial hues and forest backdrop will leave you speechless - yes it is that beautiful! Visit the Natural Rock Bridge before heading deeper to explore the park and its varied wildlife. This day is definitely full to bursting with pure awesomeness!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 5: Lake Louise

As soon as you lay eyes on Lake Louise you'll have no problem understanding why it was given the nickname, the `Gem of the Rockies'. The turquoise lake will have you pinching yourself in disbelief that somewhere could be this perfect, but this is no postcard, it's for real! Once you've stopped gaping at the incredible scenery that surrounds you, we suggest taking a hike out to the Plain-of-Six-Glaciers or jumping in a canoe and heading out on to the lake for a different perspective of Lake Louise and her oh so beautiful mountains.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 6-7: Banff National Park

The snow-capped peaks, glistening glaciers and sweeping vistas of Banff National Park will knock your socks off. Hang out in this friendly town or stretch your legs on its pine-clad trails before soothing your muscles in the included local hot springs. The scenery around here really is epic and as Canada's oldest national park you definitely need to hit one of the hiking trails. As you explore this immense wilderness keep an eye out for bear, moose and deer that frequent these paths.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 8-9: Canadian Prairies

From the Rocky Mountains in Banff to the flat lands of the Prairies, this area is referred to as `Big Sky Country' for a reason. It's your chance to see a world full of big open spaces, endless skies and sparsely populated landscape dotted with hay bales and woven with old country roads. This land is so flat that people describe this region as `a place where you can watch your dog run away for days'. It puts places like Moose Jaw, Medicine Hat and Swift Current on the map. Shop in small-town general stores, while the local residents spin a yarn; a sure sign that you're well and truly off the beaten track. See another side to Canadian life with a unique overnight experience in a trailer park. Kick back, relax or party by the pool.
Accommodation: 1 night camping & 1 unique trailer park experience included

  • Day 10: Winnipeg

Welcome to `The Peg', the geographical centre of Canada and North America. Known for the friendly locals and rich history there's a lot to learn and a lot to explore in Winnipeg. Visit Winnipeg Art Gallery, crammed with 9,000 Inuit sculptures, tapestries and paintings. Listen out for one of 100 languages spoken here in this cultural melting pot.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 11-14: Lake Superior & Lake Huron

It's time to explore two of the five Great Lakes of America, starting with the most epic one, Lake Superior. Considered the largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area, this lake with its rugged coastline is bound to impress. Here you can jump into a Canadian canoe for an included wilderness adventure! It's the perfect way to admire the immense beauty. You'll roll along forested `Moose Alley' keeping an eye out for our four-legged friends, before reaching Lake Huron by the Georgian Bay Ferry. With some stunning sandy beaches along the lakeshore, you'd better have your swimsuit at the ready for a spot of swimming, before finishing the day off with a spectacular sunset and falling asleep under a blanket of stars. perfection!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 15: Niagara Falls

It is hard to put into words just how awesome Niagara Falls is, from the immense sound of the falls crashing to the stupendous amount of water that falls every second. As one of North America's greatest attractions, it's only right that you experience it down on the water aboard the 'Maid of the Mist' cruise, where the cascades pound, churn and foam right before your eyes. Now that's what you call a front row seat!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 16-17: Toronto

As you get ever closer to the East Coast of Canada, you'll start to leave the wild lands behind and have yourself some city adventures. Toronto is up first, so take some time to explore the wares of Kensington Market, a huge area where you can find some interesting souvenirs for the folks back home or pick up some tasty treats for the road. For a different perspective on this vibrant and multicultural city head up to the top of the half-kilometre high CN Tower for some great (if not dizzying) views. At night, head to the Distillery District, a five hectare area devoted to Toronto's finest eateries and drinking establishments, or grab your fellow trekkers and catch a baseball game.
    Accommodation: Hostel included

  • Day 18-19: Montreal

A true cultural mix is next on the agenda in Montreal - the second largest city in Canada. For the foodies amongst you Montreal is often referred to as the `Cuisine Capital' and offers great cuisine for you to sink your teeth into. Why not try the local favourite poutine (cheesy curds on thin French fries topped with a thick gravy) or a `Rueben' smoked meat sandwich, which is totally delicious and melts in your mouth? For the ultimate culinary adventure try a trip to O'Noir, for some dining in the dark which will tickle your taste buds. For the more extreme adventure seekers why not rip it up across the Lachine Rapids by high-powered jet boat? Montrealers are a friendly bunch; they love to party and eat well, so you're in for a real good time with this city stop!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 20-21: Quebec City

Patisseries, churches, town squares and French-speaking Quebecers greet you as you enter a city full of European flavour. Visit the dramatic Chateau Frontenac and explore the streets of North America's only surviving walled city, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Make sure you have plenty of memory on your camera as Quebec is one seriously photogenic city.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 22: Vermont

We leave French Canada and head south to the wilds of New England. Vermont's picture perfect scenery will leave you awestruck as you gaze upon fields as far as the eye can see. Long and winding country roads and hiking trails will leave you eager to get out and stretch your legs. Head to Vermont in the fall to see the changing colour of the leaves, it truly is a sight to behold. If you're a fan of craft beers, you're onto a winner in Vermont and the food isn't half bad either, so treat yourself!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 23: Vermont - New York Area

After enjoying your last night under the stars, you finish our classic road trip in the New York area. This tour is not scheduled to spend any time in New York City so make sure you book a few nights after the tour has finished to explore the sights and sounds of the Big Apple on your own. Splurge along Fifth Avenue, hit the top of the Empire State Building or soak up the trendy, laidback vibe of Greenwich Village before heading home.

This tour ends at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
