Tour Itinerary

As this tour departs at 0730 we recommend that you book pre-tour accommodation. Please request further details at time of booking.

  • Day 1: New York Area & Finger Lakes

Leave the hustle and bustle of New York area and head down to the Finger Lakes region where you'll find pristine lakes, gorgeous waterfalls and magnificent parks. Visit the local wineries upstate or take a dip in the cool waters. The Finger Lakes has something for everyone to enjoy in all four seasons, so settle in for the night and camp under the stars surrounded by lush green wilderness; like the pioneers of old.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 2: Niagara Falls & Toronto

Check out Mother Nature's most epic creation, Niagara Falls. Made up of three waterfalls this mighty natural wonder will blow you away with its sheer size and the noise it makes is pretty immense too. Take the included `Maid of the Mist' cruise and prepare to get wet as you get a truly awesome perspective of the falls up close and personal.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 3: Toronto

Take some time to explore the wares of Kensington Market a huge area where you can find some interesting souvenirs for the folks back home or simply pick up some tasty treats for the road. For a different perspective on this vibrant and multicultural city head up to the top of the half-kilometre high CN Tower for some great, if not dizzying, views. At night, head to the Distillery District, a five hectare area devoted to Toronto's finest eateries and drinking establishments or grab your fellow trekkers and catch a baseball game.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 4-5: Algonquin Provincial Park

In true Canadian pioneer spirit set off on an unforgettable included wilderness canoe trip in the province's largest and best known park. With thousands of possible canoe routes to be taken, listen out for the laughter of loons and howling wolves in the distance. This truly is one of the most unique ways to explore the area, so enjoy!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 6-7: Montreal

A true cultural mix is next on the agenda with a visit to Montreal - the second largest city in Canada. For the foodies amongst you Montreal has some great cuisine to sink your teeth into. Why not try the locals' favourite, poutine, cheesy curds on thin french fries, topped with a thick gravy or a `Rueben' smoked meat sandwich, which is totally delicious and melts in your mouth? For the ultimate culinary adventure, Montreal's famous restaurant in the dark, O'Noir, will totally tickle your taste buds. For the more extreme adventure seekers why not rip it up across Lachine Rapids by high-powered jet boat?
    Accommodation: Hostel nights included

  • Day 8-9: Quebec City

It's time to enjoy some French culture as you explore the streets of North America's only surviving walled city. Practice your French and embrace the European flare or get snap happy around the historic Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fuelled by warm pastries and scrumptious local cheeses, pay a visit to the Basilique Cathedrale - the Notre Dame de Quebec, with its gold interior and ornate carving it's a majestic wonder definitely worthy of your time.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 10-11: Acadia National Park

As you say au revoir to Canada, don't be too sad as you'll be straight back on US soil and heading to the only national park in New England, Acadia. Acadia National Park is beautiful all year round, but it's in the autumn that this park truly comes alive and is a popular destination with people coming to see the changing colour of the leaves. It's time to get out there and enjoy this national park, so hit the many trails for some hiking or mountain biking. If you're more of a water baby, sea kayak amongst hidden coves or head out on the trails.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 12-13: Boston

Sensational countryside provides the scene for your penultimate drive! Enjoy fresh seafood and a visit to the best of Freeport's outlet shops for some great deals en route to Boston or 'Bean Town' as the locals call it. Relive the Revolution along the Freedom Trail or let Faneuil Hall's street performers, stores and eateries tell their own Bostonian tale. Of course Boston's not all about history, take a trip to Harvard University and see the brains of America hard at work. Your trip is not quite over just yet, so how about a little sporting action? Boston Red Sox is where it's at and you'll be hard pushed to find a Bostonian who isn't a diehard fan, so get yourself to a game and embrace the awesome atmosphere.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Day 14: Boston & New York Area

Before you leave Boston make sure you try the local taste sensation 'Daddy's Dough', a fried dough delicacy with a range of yummy toppings. The New York area is where your adventure sadly comes to an end, so be sure to book a couple of nights after the tour to explore the sights and sounds of the Big Apple on your own. Splurge along Fifth Avenue, hit the top of the Empire State Building, or soak up the trendy, laidback vibe of Greenwich Village before heading home.

This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
