We use hostel style accommodation on the Canadian BLT. Hostel nights are generally arranged on a single sex, multi-share basis sleeping 4 to 6 people per room but occasionally the group will share one large room or cabin. Where possible we will keep the group together and try to accommodate couples; however twin rooms cannot be guaranteed. A sleeping bag is not required on this trip.

Tour Itinerary

As this tour departs at 0730 we recommend that you book pre-tour accommodation. Please request hotel details at the time of booking.

  • Day 1-2: Vancouver & Whistler

Depart Vancouver and join Western Canada's Mecca for thrill-seekers - get on your bike, zipline through the trees or even take a scenic glacier flight! You will see why Whistler's way, way more than just snow! Whistler is a Canadian resort town in the southern Pacific Ranges of the Coast Mountains in the province of British Columbia, and surrounded by mountains making it such a beautiful place to visit.
    Accommodation: Budget lodging included

  • Day 3: Wells Grey Provincial Park

The silence is almost deafening! Wells Grey has something to offer every outdoor interest: lush alpine meadows, excellent birding and wildlife viewing opportunities. The park also offers hiking trails for every ability ranging from a few minutes on a level trail to the more adventurous. Why not hike to stunning Helmcken Falls, a 141 meter waterfall on the Murtle River and one of the reasons for the creation of Wells Gray Provincial Park, or horseback ride the beautiful trails.
    Accommodation: Budget lodging included

  • Day 4-5: Jasper National Park

Lose yourself in one of Canada's largest national parks, Jasper, where wildlife literally fights for your attention. The sharp-eyed may glimpse grizzlies, wolves or caribou. This sprawling natural expanse offers hiking and biking trails through some of the most spectacular scenery that the Canadian Rockies has to offer. One of the highlights has to be a walk on the Columbia Glacier.
    Accommodation: Budget lodging included

  • Day 6-7: Banff National Park

The widescreen scenery keeps on coming. The Icefields Parkway provides panoramic views of endless valleys, sheer ridges, glaciers and spruce forests - truly one of the world's ultimate drives. In Banff, scale Sulphur Mountain by a charming tramway or hit some wildlife loaded landscapes by foot. Soothing hot springs are the perfect way to top an action packed day.
    Accommodation: Budget lodging included

  • Day 8: Lake Louise

Its nickname, the "gem of the Rockies" is a lot to live up to, but it's no sweat for Lake Louise. With the hulking chateau and a fang-like peak on either side, this turquoise lake looks like it's straight off a postcard. Why not take a hike out to the Plain-of-Six-Glaciers or inspect the scene by paddle power on an optional canoe trip.
    Accommodation: Budget lodging included

  • Day 9: Glacier National Park & Penticton

Return to British Columbia via Glacier National Park which really does highlight some beautiful walking trails and increased chances to see bears. Glacier looks beautiful covered in wild flowers, thick forest and sweeping valley views. We then continue to Penticton where we have the chance to dip your toes and sample some of the region's local wines.
    Accommodation: Budget lodging included

  • Day 10: Vancouver

Return to the bright lights of Vancouver, surrounded by water on three sides and nestled alongside the Coast Mountain Range, Vancouver is the largest city in the province of British Columbia. Enjoy an included scenic drive through Stanley Park, stop by Prospect Point, a popular lookout where you can gaze out at spectacular views of Lion's Gate Bridge, North Vancouver and West Vancouver.

This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
