Follow the rugged Rockies from Seattle to the spectacular canyons and windswept deserts of Southwest USA. As you escape into the great American outdoors you'll travel through breathtaking scenery, stopping off at iconic national parks and red rock desert, all whilst trying to spot the local wildlife along the way. Don't get used to the quiet life for too long, as the tour comes to an end in the neon city of Las Vegas and the 'City of Angles', Los Angeles. You'll enjoy carefree days, campfire nights - hiking, rafting, swimming and horse riding... all this on one exhilarating two week road trip.

Nos itinéraires ont été soigneusement choisis afin que vous passiez vos nuits dans les lieux les plus insolites. Toutefois, les conditions locales et les demandes des passagers varient, il n'y a pas deux voyages identiques. Il est possible de modifier certains sites de campement en accord avec votre trek leader, ce qui vous permettra de vivre une expérience unique !

We run a Food Kitty on this trip - you will need to contribute US$10 a day which covers all your meals whilst camping.

  • Jour 1: Seattle & Montana

    As you'll be setting off early doors, it's definitely worthwhile flying in a few days before the tour starts so you can explore Seattle. Seattle has heaps of cool things to do, including a trip to the top of the Space Needle for some awesome views of the city. Get to know your new Trek friends as you cross Washington and Idaho's Bitterroot Range into Big Sky Country. Montana welcomes you with rugged mountain peaks and wide open spaces.

  • Jour 2-3: Yellowstone National Park

    After enjoying a night under a brilliant blanket of stars, we reach Yellowstone National Park for a glorious two night stay. View the iconic explosive Old Faithful Geyser and colourful waterfalls while exploring the world's oldest and most famous national park. Keep your eyes peeled for the abundant wildlife that roams park such as, bison, bear, moose and elk. If after all that exploring of this beautiful park you're a little tired, why not make the most of the nearby Boiling River (seasonal only) for a well-earned soak in the hot spring?

  • Jour 4-5: Grand Teton National Park & Jackson

    Next up are the wonderful views and hikes that await in the majestic Grand Teton National Park. With few foothills to speak of, the jagged peaks here rise like teeth from lush, flat meadows against the bright blue Wyoming sky. Next we visit the truly Western town of Jackson. Rafting the raging Snake River rapids, one of America's last great untamed rivers, should definitely get that adrenaline pumping on an included trip. If you prefer to stay on dry land how about a shot of 'Red-Eye' Whiskey at the Silver Dollar Saloon?

  • Jour 6: Flaming Gorge

    Leave the mighty mountains behind you as you reach the border of Utah. You'll soon see why the intrepid explorer, John Wesley Powell gave this place the name Flaming Gorge as you watch the sun reflecting off this unique red rock vista. Grab your camera and snap away as you admire the awesome sunset over Flaming Gorge and Green River, the views are out of this world.

  • Jour 7-8: Moab & Arches National Park

    Known for being the USA'S natural adventure playground, Moab is next up on your itinerary and boy will you be impressed. Arches is called Arches National Park for a reason and as you start to explore you'll be amazed at the countless red rock formations that have been moulded by the elements and are dotted all over the park. Delicate Arch is one of Utah's most famous icons and people travel far and wide to see the awesome freestanding 65ft tall arch in all its glory. If that isn't enough, you pay a visit to Dead Horse Point for amazing canyon views of the snaking Colorado River below.

  • Jour 9: Monument Valley

    On the road again and off to one of North America's most iconic landscapes, used as the set for countless Western movies, including the recent remake of The Lone Ranger. Immerse yourself in the native culture on an optional (and highly recommended) guided jeep tour of the Navajo Reservation and back roads. Marvel at the sight of towering buttes and mesas which dominate the awe-inspiring landscape during the day, then when goes down swap camp fire stories under a blanket of stars.

  • Jour 10-11: Grand Canyon National Park

    Strike out across the desert in search of one of the 'Seven Natural Wonders of the World', the Grand Canyon. Take to the sky and witness the Grand Canyon's monumental red-and-gold formations from up high. Hike deep into the canyon on the Bright Angel Trail or check out the aptly named 'Ooh Aah Point' on the South Kaibab Trail. Whatever view of the Grand Canyon you have, you'll never forget the moment you first lay your eyes on this incredible place.

  • Jour 12-13: Route 66, Hoover Dam & Las Vegas

    Today you travel a section of the original Route 66 and make a stop at the little town of Seligman, packed with quirky shops full of iconic road trip memorabilia. You'll make a quick pit stop at the epic Hoover Dam, you'll have just enough time to grab a quick selfie, before heading to the main event, Las Vegas! If you're feeling lucky you're in the right place, so put those numbers to the test. A-list stars swarm to this 24/7 party town, you may not make it into any of their swanky parties, but you can feel like a total legend with a cruise down the Las Vegas in a super-stretch limousine. Vegas isn't all about gambling and clubs, why not check out a show or take an evening flight down the Strip.

  • Jour 14: Los Angeles

    Finish your tour in style with a stroll around Hollywood and the Walk of Fame - be sure to keep your eyes peeled for some celebrity sightings. If you decide to stay on a few more days, why not head down to Venice Beach, the perfect place for some last minute relaxing in the Californian sun. To truly get under the skin of America's biggest city, add an Urban Adventure on to the end of your tour.

    This tour ends at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
