  • Jour 1-2: Anchorage & Wrangell-St. Elias National Park

It's time to head into the wild and rugged landscapes of North America's 49th State and what better place to start than the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wrangell-St Elias National Park. This incredible national park is home to the continent's largest assemblage of glaciers and peaks above 16,000 feet. Prepare yourself for some top-notch glacier action with an included half day hiking trip on Root Glacier, or for a more vertical challenge, grab your axe and try your hand at some ice climbing. You'll then spend the night in a wilderness camp overlooking the glacier as you sit around the camp fire, for a perfect end to your first day on your Alaskan adventure, just don't forget the s'mores!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 3: Tangle Lakes

Next you head to Tangle Lakes, a great place to chill out after the scenic drive along the Alaska Mountain Range, crossing the famous 800-mile-long Alaskan Pipeline. If you're feeling active, some wilderness canoeing should up your pulse rate and is a great way to see this stunning place in all its glory.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 4-6: Denali National Park

En route to Denali, we stop at Gracious House where you have the chance to buy the famed cinnamon rolls, which are simply delicious. Surrounded by the tallest mountain peaks in North America, Denali National Park is jam-packed with grizzlies, caribou, Dall sheep and wolves, and is so large that the only way of getting around is by bus. Lucky for you, we've thrown in a 2 day pass so you can get out into the wilds and explore the best this enormous expanse has to offer, the rangers even encourage you to stray off the path and become your own guide. You can't go anywhere in this national park without your camera at the ready as there is so much to see and experience from an included dog sled demonstration to the mighty Mount McKinley that dominates the parks landscape. For a different perspective of the park why not take an optional scenic flight? Which we promise will blow you away.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 7-9: Seward

Follow the Cook Inlet to Resurrection Bay and the coastal town of Seward, known for its stunning mountain scenery and unbeatable views of the bay. Jump aboard an included cruise ship tour of the Kenai Fjords and be prepared to be awe-struck at the sheer beauty of this place. Throughout the cruise you'll have plenty of opportunities to spot some amazing wildlife such as whales and sea otters, but one thing that can't be caught on camera is the noise coming from the glaciers as they creak and sometimes fall into the sea creating a mighty splash.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 10-11: Homer

Found on the Kenai Peninsula, the glacier-crafted spit and invigorating beach walks are the perfect warm up for one hearty dinner of ultra-fresh halibut -prepared by you. If you don't know the first thing about preparing fish, don't panic as your tour leader is on hand to buy and give advice on cooking your fresh fish dinner, so you won't go hungry. Homer is most famous for its wildlife and bear viewing opportunities so make the most of this and join a dedicated bear viewing tour. It's fair to say there will never be a dull moment in Homer as it's surrounded by wilderness and ocean so there are heaps of activities to keep you entertained.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 12: Kenai National Wildlife Refuge

As you cross to the other side of the peninsula, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge awaits you and there is only one word you'll need and that is wow! The refuge is a whopping 150-million acre network of lands and water and is home to some of North America's most iconic wildlife. This place is full to the brim with outdoor adventures, from world class fishing, hiking and canoeing, so why not take to one of the pine-enclosed lakes and keep an eye out for moose grazing by the shore or eagles flying high above you.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 13: Anchorage

Today you make your way back to the city of Anchorage with 12 days and nights full or memories to ease your passage. It's not until you head back to civilisation that you realise just how magnificent it is to travel in a true wilderness area where natures elements and wildlife are king.

This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
