Explore the fast-paced cities of Washington DC and Chicago and get your nature fix in the scenic national parks of the Appalachian Mountains. Hear the rhythm and blues in Nashville and relive America's history in Philadelphia. Nos itinéraires ont été soigneusement choisis afin que vous passiez vos nuits dans les lieux les plus insolites. We run a Food Kitty on this trip - you will need to contribute US$10 a day which covers all your meals whilst camping.

  • Jour 1-2: New York Area, Philadelphia & Washington DC

    Strap on your boxing gloves and head for Philadelphia's famous `Rocky' steps and recreate a piece of movie history. Cast your eyes on Independence Hall where brave men gathered at the Pennsylvania State House and defied the King of England to help shape US Constitution. Why not peruse the Reading Terminal Market and if all this action has got you hungry, grab yourself an iconic Philly cheese steak one of the many famous local specialties not to be missed! Washington DC is next on the agenda and you'll really enjoy the grandeur of the nation's capital. From the impressive Smithsonian Museums to the White House and the city's trendy bars, the capital has something for everyone. Why not hire a bike to cover more ground and then take advantage of the great night life in Georgetown?

  • Jour 3: Shenandoah National Park

    Have your cameras at the ready as you follow the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park for stunning views across the Valley. The lush trails put earth under your boots, great oaks tower above you and there's epic scenery every which way you look, it's time to enjoy some beautiful hiking.

  • Jour 4: West Virginia

    West Virginia is famous for its mountain scenery and there's heaps to do, but for all the adventure junkies out there, one thing you definitely must do is an optional white-water rafting trip. If you want to stay on dry land but still want in on all the action, try your hand at zip-lining through the trees for an awesome bird's eye view of this beautiful 'Mountain State'.

  • Jour 5-6: Great Smoky Mountains National Park

    You'll have no problem understanding why this is the most visited national park in America, it's simply stunning. Known to the Cherokee people as the 'Place of Blue Smoke', the valleys offer great walking trails for you to explore. As you hike the amazing trails, keep your eyes peeled for the American Black Bear and the native White-tail Deer that also roam the trails.

  • Jour 7: Nashville

    Leaving the Smokies you and your fellow Trekkers head to the centre of American country music in Nashville, Tennessee. Expect a big slice of Southern charm where country and western music fills the air, you'll be toe-tapping in no time. You can't come all the way to the music capital without paying a visit to the Jonny Cash Museum or the Country Music Hall of Fame, where you can learn all about the history and tradition of country music. If you didn't like country music before you arrived we're pretty sure you'll be an expert in all things country before you leave.

  • Jour 8: Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky & Indiana

    Enjoy an awesome stop at Mammoth Cave National Park and feel like an explorer as you delve deep into the cave in search of stalagmites and stalactites. Then follow the Kentucky Bourbon Trail to Indiana (with optional tasting). You're sure to be blown away by the superb scenery as you enter the land of the `Great Lakes'. With a capital full of culture, amazing nightlife and a wide mix of culinary delights, you're bound to be more than impressed.

  • Jour 9-10: Chicago

    Chicago is a city that should not be overlooked, it's awesome! Home to North America's tallest building, the Willis Tower helps make up an incredible skyline that towers over the sandy shoreline of Lake Michigan. Hit all the highlights on an included 'Bobby's Bike Hike' tour of Chicago, including views of the Willis Tower and Navy Pier. Exploring the city on two wheels is a sure fire way to work up an appetite for a slice of Chicago's famous deep-dish pizza. Listen out for the city's unofficial anthem `Sweet Home Chicago', ringing out from the hip blues joints on soulful Halsted Street.

  • Jour 11: Ohio

    Cross the Midwest to Cedar Point Amusement Park - home of the Millennium Force - the greatest roller coaster in the world! If the thrill of the ride gets too much for you, head to Lake Erie for some chill out time around a roaring campfire.

  • Jour 12: Niagara Falls

    It's on to one of America's greatest natural attractions, Niagara Falls. Experience the full force of the falls as you don your blue poncho and hop aboard the included `Maid of the Mist' cruise, just prepare to get a little wet as you get up close and personal to a serious amount of water. For the ultimate show head to the falls at night and see the falls lit up in all their glory.

  • Jour 13-14: Finger Lakes & New York Area

    You make one final pit stop in the rural Finger Lakes region of New York State, for one last nature fix before you head back to the hustle and bustle of city life. The Finger Lakes are unique, full of beautiful waterfalls and world-class wineries. On your way to New York City stop in at Woodbury Common Premium Outlet Mall for some last minute shopping before you say goodbye to your new Trek buddies. Be sure to leave yourself a day or two to experience the excitement of the `Big Apple'. Add an Urban Adventure and have the ease of being guided to all the cities hotspots by a local New Yorker.

    This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
