  • Jour 1: New York Area & Vermont

From the New York area head north to the wilds of New England, for the first of many nights under the stars. Vermont's picture perfect scenery will leave you awestruck as you gaze upon fields as far as the eye can see. Long and winding country roads and hiking trails will leave you eager to get out and stretch your legs. Head to Vermont in the fall and see the changing colour of the leaves, it truly is a sight to behold.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 2-3: Quebec City

Quebec City has a distinctly European flavour. Visit the dramatic Chateau Frontenac and explore the streets of North America's only surviving walled city and historic UNESCO World Heritage Site. Make sure you have plenty of memory on your camera as Quebec is one seriously photogenic city and you wouldn't want to fill your card completely by day three. The compact size of this city makes exploring it in a couple of days easily doable, so hit the brakes and take your time to really discover this picturesque city.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 4-5: Montreal

A true cultural mix is next on the agenda when visiting Montreal - the second largest city in Canada. Feel the charm of this 'European style' city with its kicking summer festival season. With bundles of eateries, trendy bars, live music and comedy venues, there seriously is something for everyone here. Why not try the local dish poutine; which consists of cheesy curds on thin french fries and topped with thick gravy, sounds yummy, right? For the adventure seekers why not rip it up across Lachine Rapids by high-powered jet boat. There is plenty to enjoy in this great city, so make the most of day five where you'll have a free day to explore the city at your own pace.
Accommodation: Hostel included (multi sex dorms)

  • Jour 6: Ottawa

Wander through ByWard Market, the Rideau Center and Sussex Street, or admire the outdoor vibe in the capital's many green spaces. The Rideau Canal is a great place to chill out and watch the boaters go by with a cool drink. Did you know that in the winter the canal becomes the world's largest naturally frozen skating rink? If architecture is your thing then be sure to check out the wonders that house the national museums and galleries, before checking out an exhibition, the nightlife is pretty awesome too.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 7: Toronto

The native Hurons called this spot 'Toronto' or 'meeting place' and today it still is, with over 70 nationalities mingling to vibrant effect. Take some time to explore the wares of Kensington Market a huge area where you can find some interesting souvenirs for the folks back home or simply pick up some tasty treats for the road. For a different perspective on this vibrant and multicultural city head up to the top of the half-kilometre high CN Tower for some great if not dizzying views. At night, head to the Distillery District, a five hectare area devoted to Toronto's finest eateries and drinking establishment or grab your fellow trekkers and catch a baseball game.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 8: Niagara Falls

It is hard to put into words just how awesome Niagara Falls is, from the immense sound of the falls crashing to the stupendous amount of water that falls every second. As one of America's greatest national attractions, it's only right that you experience it down on the water aboard the 'Maid of the Mist', where the cascades pound, churn and foam right before your eyes. Now that's what you call a front row seat!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 9-10: Lake Huron

Cross the placid waters by Georgian Bay ferry, before rolling along forested `Moose Alley' keeping an eye out for our four-legged friends. With some of the cleanest waters of the Great Lakes and stunning sandy beaches on the lakeshore, you better have your swimsuit at the ready for a spot of swimming in one of America's Great Lakes. Finish the day off with a spectacular sunset before falling asleep under a blanket of stars, perfection!
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 11-12: Lake Superior

From one Great Lake to another you head to Lake Superior, and it really is! This is the largest freshwater lake on the planet and it's so big it even has its own ecosystem! Jump in a Canadian canoe for an included wilderness trip for a true adventure; the perfect way to admire the immense beauty of the area.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 13: Winnipeg

A city that rises above the Canadian Prairies, welcome to 'The Peg', the geographical centre of Canada and North America. Known for the friendly locals and rich history there's lots to learn and lots to explore in Winnipeg. Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 14-15: Canadian Prairies

This area is referred to as 'Big Sky Country' for a reason and is your chance to see a world full of big open spaces, endless skies and sparsely populated landscape dotted with hay bales and woven with old country roads. This land is so flat that people describe this region as 'a place where you can watch your dog run away for days'. See another side to Canadian life with a unique overnight experience in a trailer park. Kick back, relax or party by the pool, this is definitely an experience like no other!
Accommodation: 1 night camping & 1 unique trailer park experience included

  • Jour 16-17: Banff National Park

From the flat lands of the prairies to the snow-capped peaks, glistening glaciers and sweeping vistas of Banff National Park. Hang out in this friendly town or stretch your legs on its pine-clad trails, before soothing your muscles in the local hot springs. The scenery around here really is epic and as Canada's oldest national park you definitely must hit one of the hiking trails. As you explore this immense wilderness keep an eye out for bear, moose and deer that frequent these paths.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 18: Lake Louise

You'd be hard pushed to find a more stunning scene than the emerald blue waters of Lake Louise. You'll find some of the best hiking trails in Canada in the area and it would be rude not to don your hiking boots and go explore, we suggest taking a hike out to the Plain-of-Six-Glaciers and stop for a brew in the trail tea house, whilst admiring the incredible views. If you're dying to get out and see Lake Louise up close and personal, grab yourself a canoe and head out onto the water.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 19: Yoho National Park

'Yoho' comes from the Cree word for 'awe' and 'wonder' and as soon as you start hiking through this incredible place you'll see why. Negotiate the rapids of the aptly-named Kicking Horse River which offers some of the best white-water rafting in the world. The scenery will continue to impress as you come across Takakkaw Falls, falling from the mountains to the valley below. But the world class vistas don't stop there, next up is the beautiful Emerald Lake with its glacial hues and forest backdrop. Visit the Natural Rock Bridge before heading deeper to explore the park and its varied wildlife.
    Accommodation: Camping included

  • Jour 20-21: Jasper National Park

You're being well truly spoilt as the awesome scenery keeps on coming! The endless valleys, sheer ridges, glaciers and spruce forests of the Icefields Parkway make for one of the world's ultimate drives and will soon have you raring to get stuck into the great outdoors yet again. Keep an eye out for an abundance of incredible wildlife that is fighting for your attention, from Grizzlies and wolves to caribou. Now that's bound to make you feel on top of the world.

Don't let the fact Wells Gray is not a national park fool you, this place is seriously stunning and no Canadian road trip would be complete without a visit. So grab your camera and walking boots then head out on the trails to experience the incredible vistas of high mountains, deep canyons, volcanic cones and old growth forests. Make the most of the silence and peace before you hike to the stunning Helmcken Falls, a 141 meter waterfall on the Murtle River and the reason Wells Gray became a provincial park in the first place.
Accommodation: Guest ranch bunkhouse included (multi-share)

  • Jour 23-24: Vancouver

It's time to leave the wilderness behind, but don't fear the good times keep on coming as you arrive in Vancouver, a city that prides itself on outdoor spaces. If you're not quite ready to face city life, head to Stanley Park where you'll find kilometres of amazing walking trails through majestic trees as well as the Capilano Suspension Bridge. But, it's the city's cosmopolitan feel which really sets it apart from the rest. Treat yourself to some moreish maple cookies before heading to Gastown where the party people hang out.
