To really experience all that Vancouver has to offer (which is a lot by the way!), be sure to fly in a couple of days before the tour starts. After a pre departure meeting, you leave Vancouver and head for Wells Gray Provincial Park; don’t be fooled by the fact it doesn’t have national park status, this place definitely delivers the goods! Wells Gray is seriously stunning and no Canadian road trip would be complete without a visit. Experience the incredible vistas with high mountains, deep canyons, volcanic cones and old-growth forests. Make the most of the silence and peace before you hike to the thundering Helmcken Falls, a 141 metre waterfall on the Murtle River, one of dozens of stunning waterfalls in the park. Tonight you'll rest your head in an authentic guest ranch where you can get to know your fellow Trekkers by the roaring campfire, swapping stories and feasting on s'mores!

The Icefields Parkway is one of the world's ultimate drives surrounded by incredible scenery from spruce forests to glaciers. You can even choose to walk on an active glacier. Now that's bound to make you feel on top of the world! Next up, you reach Yoho National Park. ‘Yoho’ comes from the Cree word for ‘awe’ and ‘wonder’ and as soon as you start hiking through this incredible place you'll soon see why. Negotiate the rapids of the well-named Kicking Horse River, which offers some of the best white water rafting in the world. The scenery will continue to impress as you come across Takakkaw Falls, falling from the mountains to the valley below. Emerald Lake is up next and we're pretty sure the glacial hues and forest backdrop will leave you speechless - yes it is that beautiful! Visit the Natural Rock Bridge before heading deeper to explore the park and its varied wildlife. This day is definitely full to bursting with pure awesomeness!

Journey from the Rocky Mountains to the flat lands of the Prairies, your chance to see a sparsely populated landscape of endless skies and big open spaces, dotted with hay bales and woven with old country roads. This land is so flat that people describe this region as ‘a place where you can watch your dog run away for days’. Shop in small town general stores while the local residents spin a yarn, a sure sign that you're well and truly off the beaten track; as are the awesome small town names around these parts, from Moose Jaw to Medicine Hat and Swift Current. You'll see another side to Canadian life with a unique overnight experience in a trailer park. Kick back, relax or party by the pool. This is definitely an experience like no other!

It is hard to put into words just how awesome Niagara Falls is, from the immense sound of the falls crashing to the stupendous volume of water that falls every second. As you get ever closer to the East Coast of Canada, you'll start to leave the wild lands behind and have yourself some city adventures. Toronto is up first. The native Hurons called this spot 'Toronto' or 'meeting place' and it still is today, with over 70 nationalities making this a vibrant and multicultural city. Take some time to explore Kensington Market, a huge area where you can find some interesting souvenirs for the folks back home or simply pick up some tasty treats for the road. For a different perspective zip up to the top of the 457 metre high CN Tower for some great (if a little dizzying) views. Rent a bike to explore the city, or catch a ferry to the car-free Toronto Islands and soak up the tranquillity. At night, head to the Distillery District, a huge area devoted to Toronto's finest eateries and drinking establishments, or grab your fellow trekkers and catch a baseball game.

A true cultural mix is next on your agenda in Montreal, the second largest city in Canada. For adventure seekers, you can rip it up across the Lachine Rapids by high-powered jet boat. For the foodies amongst you, Montreal is often referred to as the ‘Cuisine Capital’ and offers great cuisine for you to sink your teeth into. Why not try the local favourite poutine (cheesy curds on thin French fries topped with a thick gravy) or a ‘Rueben’ smoked meat sandwich, which is totally delicious and melts in your mouth? For a different culinary adventure try a trip to O'Noir, for some dining in the dark which will tickle your taste buds. Montrealers are a friendly bunch; they love to party and eat well, so you're in for a real good time with this city stop!
