The food...

Food, glorious food is in abundance throughout the bustling streets of NYC! They know a thing or two about bagels and pastrami sandwiches, and have some of the tastiest pizzas on the planet. And for desert? Well your only option is to head to Brooklyn and grab yourself a couple of scoops of ice cream from the famous Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, we're drooling at the thought!

Vegas only knows how to go big, so if you're looking for a night of stuffing your face till you can't bear to take another bite, the all-you-can-eat buffets are calling your name! But we'll stick to a wandering the streets of New York looking for the next tasty treat to devour.

24 hour party central...

Both cities know how to party, New York is the 'city that never sleeps' and Vegas is known for its 24 hour party scene. You've seen The Hangover, you know you could potentially wake up in the morning handcuffed on top of a casino roof, waiting for your friends to find you, this place is crazy! We'd happily spend a night parting into the early hours in either of this awesome cities.

National Parks...

If you're looking for a little nature hit after all that casino action, well there is this place called the Grand Canyon that you might want to check out, it's only one of the most spectacular things you'll ever witness!

New York has its fair share of green spaces, Central Park is pretty awesome when it comes to parks in the city, but to get to a national park, you have to travel around 11 hours to get to the Smoky Mountains National Park. It's definitely worth the drive, but we'll take the Grand Canyon this time round!

Museums...

You probably wouldn't expect to find museums in Vegas, but there are a few you can head to if you can tear yourself away from the casinos and the shopping. New York though, boy does it have some cool museums. If you're all spent up you can head to the museums free of charge or if you just want to ogle at some of the finest architecture around there are plenty of museums scattered around the city that are just as interesting from the outside.

Go home with more than you came with...

Just to be clear this round comes with no guarantees! New York is one heck of a city, but with most cities, they aren't kind on your wallet, and with so much stuff to see and do, you'll more than likely only go home with a head full of awesome memories.

A visit to Las Vegas on the other hand and there is a world of potential to win big, you just need to be in it to win it and know when to stop!

City lights...

Nothing beats seeing a city all pretty and lit up at night and the New York skyline is one of a kind, walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and look back and see the concrete jungle in all its night time glory.

But then there's Vegas, the desert neon city that is bright, brash and bold and a night time cruise along the Strip is something else! Let's not forget about the 'Welcome to Vegas' neon sign, one of the best selfie opportunities you'll find in the USA.

Iconic buildings...

There really is no question which city will come out on top in this round, the Statue of Liberty is so iconic that even Vegas have adopted a miniature version of it. Yes, Vegas has some of the coolest looking casinos around, the Bellagio with its awesome water fountains, but New York, well New York is where it's at when it comes to iconic buildings. To name just a few The Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, The Rockefeller Centre. Sorry Vegas, but you ain't got nothing on New York!
