Airport Transfers

If you have booked hotels before or after your trip with us you will need to arrange your own airport transfer. Many hotels offer free shuttles or alternatively there are inexpensive shuttle services available 24 hours a day.

Full airport transfer details are shown below. Please ensure you double check your final e-documentation for the correct hotel.

Important note: All tours begin at 7:30am from our departure hotels. If you make your own pre-tour accommodation arrangements you are responsible for your own transportation to the departure points

  • ANCHORAGE - Inlet Tower Hotel & Suites
    The hotel offers a free 24 hour shuttle service. Contact the hotel upon arrival using the hotel shuttle phones in the baggage claim area, or call the hotel directly on 907-276-0110. A tip of US$2 per person is recommended. If you prefer to take a taxicab, they leave from the designated taxi area near baggage claim. The fare should be approximately US$15-17 including tip.

  • ANTIGUA, GUATEMALA - Casa en Familia
    The easiest way to get from Guatemala City airport to Antigua is by taxi and will take around 45 minutes and costs about 350 GTQ (US$45). Negotiate the price before boarding the taxi. Alternatively, "Antigua Shuttle" buses are available hourly from Guatemala City airport to Antigua. This service is provided by freelance drivers authorized by Antigua Shuttle. The trip takes approx 1 hour and costs around 80 GTQ (US$10). Look for the sign reading "Antigua shuttle" as you exit the main hall. If you have pre-booked an arrival transfer make sure you go outside of the airport arrivals section. The driver will be waiting with a sign with your name.

  • CANCUN, MEXICO - Ramada Cancun City (Quintana Roo)
    The local Taxi Union operates a "shared taxi" or "collectivo" shuttle from the airport to the hotel for approx. MP $70 (US $15-20). Purchase a taxi voucher at the desk just outside the main terminal. Do not pay the taxi driver directly. Transfer takes approx. 45 minutes.

  • LAS VEGAS - Alexis Park Resort Hotel
    The hotel offers a free complimentary Airport Shuttle Service. Call the hotel in advance on 1-800-582-2228 to book your shuttle and for pick up information. A tip of US$2 per person is recommended. Alternatively you can catch a taxi from the airport for approximately US $10. The hotel is approximately 5 minutes from the airport.

  • LOS ANGELES - The Custom Hotel, Lincoln Boulevard
    The hotel provides a complimentary luxury shuttle service to and from LAX daily from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. For LAX pickup please call us the hotel on 310.645.0400, prompt #2 upon your arrival (please collect your luggage before you call) and our staff will provide you with pick up instructions. For airport drop-off, please arrange this with the reception staff. A tip of US$2 per person is recommended each-way.

  • MEXICO CITY - Hotel Mallorca (for BOLT Tours only)
    The easiest way to get from the airport to your hotel is by taxi. On your left as you exit customs you will find `Transporte Terrestre" - you need to purchase your ticket from the named "Sitio 300". Rates are fixed and a ride to Hotel Mallorca should cost you approximately US$15. You should avoid taking taxis from outside the airport.

  • MIAMI - Days Inn Thunderbird Beach Resort
    Take a Super Shuttle service for approximately US$30 per person which operates 24 hours a day. You can pre-book your transfer on the Super Shuttle website by searching for the "Days Inn Thunderbird" hotel when prompted. Alternatively, you can arrange at the airport by locating the Super Shuttle representatives in blue or gold jackets.

  • NEW YORK, NEWARK AIRPORT ONLY - Crowne Plaza, Newark
    Transfer from Newark Airport: Take the "Airtrain" to Station P4, then wait for the Crowne Plaza Newark Airport Complimentary Shuttle to the Hotel (departs approx. every 15-20 minutes). It is customary to tip driver who helps you with your bag ($1-$2 bag).

  • NEW YORK, JFK & LA GUARDIA AIRPORTS - Crowne Plaza, Newark
    From both JFK and La Guardia airports you must first transfer to New York Penn Station located at 31st and 7th Streets in Midtown Manhattan and then take another transfer to Newark International Airport.

    1). To transfer from the airport to New York Penn Station:
    By Shuttle: You can pre-book your transfer on the Super Shuttle website by searching for "Penn Station" landmark when prompted. A shared transfer service costs US$19 plus tip.

    By Bus: The most convenient service is the "New York Airport Express Service Bus". This bus departs from both airports every 20-30 minutes (7am- midnight) and stops are located at the 'Express Bus Stop' at each airport terminal. Cost is US$15. For reservations or for more info call (718) 875-8200 or visit their website at www.nyairportservice.com/. Use taxis for transport during the hours of midnight-7am.

    2). To transfer from NY Penn Station to Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station:
    Trains depart New York Penn Station every 10-15minutes to Newark Airport. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket window for approx. $12.50 and wait until the train board displays your track. ALL trains that go to Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station are displayed as "EWR." The train ride to the airport station is about 25 minutes and you will be asked to show you ticket while on the train.

    3.) To transfer from Newark Liberty International Train Station to the Crowne Plaza, Newark:
    After exiting the train follow the signs for the "AIRTRAIN". Take the AIRTRAIN to station P4 and wait for the Newark Airport Crowne Plaza Complimentary Shuttle. This will bring you directly to the Hotel and a shuttle arrives/departs every 15-20 minutes. It is customary to tip the driver who helps you with your bag ($1-$2 per bag).

  • PANAMA CITY - Hotel Centroamericano (for BOLT tours)
    The Hotel Centroamericano is located 15 miles from Tocumen International airport and will take approx. 30 minutes. The taxi fare from the airport will cost around USD$30.

  • PLAYA DEL CARMEN - Hotel Cocodrilo (for BOLT tours)
    Playa del Carmen is approx. 1 hour from Cancun Airport. The easiest way to get to your hotel is by taxi. You will need to negotiate the rate with one of the companies located outside the customs exit and should expect to pay between US$50 and $60 per cab. Alternatively, catch one of the mini vans that depart every 15-30 mins from the curb outside the International exit for approx. US$18. If you pre-booked an arrival or departure transfer and you can't locate your driver at the agreed time please call (+52 998)167 5011 or (+52 998) 173 8861.

  • SAN FRANCISCO - Best Western Americania
    Take a shuttle which leave approximately every 10 minutes. There are several companies available including Super Shuttle and Go Lorries and all cost around US$17 per person, including tip. You can pre-book your transfer on the Super Shuttle website by searching for "Best Western" when prompted and selecting the "Best Western - Americania". They are available 24 hours a day and can be found just outside the terminal. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic.

  • SAN FRANCISCO - Good Hotel (for Western BLT ex SFO only)
    Take a shuttle, which leaves approx. every 10 minutes. There are several companies available including Super Shuttle and Go Lorries and all cost around US $17 per person, plus tip. You can pre-book your transfer on the Super Shuttle website by searching for "Good Hotel" when prompted and selecting the "Good Hotel". They are available 24 hours a day and can be found just outside the terminal. Transfer takes approximately 45 minutes.

  • SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA - Hotel Aranjuez (for BLT tours)
    The best way to get to the arrival point hotel is via taxi from the airport. There are fixed taxi rates from the airport (approximately $35 USD). It is a 45 minute drive (depending on traffic) into the city. Please ensure the taxi is marked TAXI AEROPUERTO as they are the official airport taxis.

  • SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA - Hemingway Inn (for BOLT tours)
    San José airport is approx. 20 minutes from down town. While taking a "Tuasa" bus may cost you around US$1, travelling with a backpack on these crowded buses is not in our concept of fun! A taxi will cost approximately US$20 to US$25. You will find the official taxi company booth (Taxis Unidos Aeropuerto) outside the international arrival exit, you will need to buy a prepaid voucher to your hotel and hand it to your cab driver.

  • SEATTLE - Clarion Hotel Seattle International Airport
    The hotel is located one mile from the airport and they provide a free 24-hour airport shuttle service (a nominal tip of approx. US$2 per person is recommended). When you arrive at the airport, go to the courtesy hotel phones in the baggage area and dial #38 to request a pick-up. To meet your shuttle follow the signs to the shuttle pick up area. Head up the escalators, over the sky bridge and back down ground level and wait at island 1 or 3.

  • VANCOUVER - Hampton Inn Vancouver Airport
    The hotel offers a free shuttle from Vancouver Airport and picks up every 15 and 45 minutes past the hour from 4:15am to 12:45am.

    For international arrivals the pick-up area is located between the arrivals gate and the parking entrance. Follow the "Ground Transportation" sign and look for the yellow "Hotel Courtesy Shuttle" sign on your right.

    For domestic arrivals the pick-up area is located on the ground floor next to the Gateway Valet & Concierge. After passing by the 7-11 and the liquor store on your left, keep going straight until you see the "Ground Transportation" and "Hotel Courtesy Shuttle" signs.
