Before going on TrekAmerica I used to read these post Trek messages everyday in the hope someone new had sent another message - it's only appropriate that I should finally write something in return for the amazing 2 treks myself and my fiance just completed!
4 days after Canadian Parks West, we started the Westerner 3 with Chad. What an amazing guy! Anyone that hikes to the top of 'Half Dome' 4 times to get his trekkers to the top deserves a medal! We had gone from waterfalls and glaciers to desert, desert, desert!
So many wonderful memories: our blind folded introduction to The Grand Canyon, sunset and sunrise over the famous Canyon. Our numerous hikes, sunrise over Monument Valley and our 4x4 tour with a Navajo Indian - magic, our thunder storm on Angels Landing, Bryce Canyon our surprise destination, drinking in an Irish Pub in New York, New York - Vegas (highly commended), getting up Half Dome - what a hike...! And of course cake and ice cream as dessert! Who can forget the packets of Oreo's in the van every day!
To all our fellow trekkers from around the world, it was great to travel with you all!
To anyone thinking of doing a Trek - just do it - it's a truly magical experience!
