Costa Rica is bordered to the north by Nicaragua and to the south by Panama and is a small country by most standards, however, with 46 national parks, reserves and wildlife refuges Costa Rica is known throughout the world as an environmental eco-centre!

With thick rainforests, active volcanoes and pristine beaches to explore, Costa Rica is an adventurer's paradise. Trek or walk amongst the canopy in the rainforest, discover hidden waterfalls, soak in natural hot springs under the moonlight, photograph playful monkeys in the treetops or even learn to surf.

Just south of Costa Rica are Panama's secluded Caribbean islands, Bocas del Toro. Here you will find some peaceful beaches and the Bastimentos National Marine Park, home to turtle nesting grounds, tropical birds and fine snorkelling.

There I was... in the middle of a huge cloud, unbelievably green foliage everywhere the eye could see, soaking wet in the overburdened tropical air, dangling by a steel cable, Tarzaning myself from tree to tree over vast distances - over rivers - over even more trees - zipping around the forest like George of the Jungle!!! Not even the moist weather could dampen my spirits. Muddy spray from the wet zip line cable splattered all over my face, but I loved it. The Monteverde rainforest zip line canopy tour was amazing!!
